Kids today! Why can't they fetishize Fascist military hardware like normal people?

Ladysmith wants you forthwith to come to her relief
Burn your briefs you leave for France tonight
Carefully cut the straps of the booby-traps and set the captives free
But don't shoot 'til you see her big blue eyes

Wow.

Gore lost Florida by roughly eleven thousand votes. Thus, Bush snagged Florida's 25 electoral votes putting him at 271... one more than needed to win the election.

If Gore had won Florida, he would've been at 274 electoral votes, 3 more than needed to win... leaving Bush with just 246.

The margin in Florida - again, roughly 11,000 votes.

How many did Ralph Nader get in Florida? About 95,000 votes (votes that can safely be assumed are left leaning, ie Gore votes).

In a nutshell, Ralph Nader... enemy to everything that is right wing, in essence, put one in the White House.

I happen to think he is a naive, self serving fool, whose campaign was nothing more than a stunt. Just my humble opinion. Now look what he just did.

Btw, my first memory of Nader was when I was about 10 years old, watching Nader on some Sunday kid's program, warning people about the dangers of microwave ovens.

In the irony of ironys.... It turns out that, contrary to predictions, Gore might end up winning the popular vote (majority of people voting for him), yet loses the electoral college.

All in all, a fascinating election. Leave it to the Yanks, and yer always guaranteed a good show   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

----edit------

Holy sheeat! Gore getting ready to make his concession speech - and we find out that the margin in Florida is now as slim as 600 to 700 votes.... falling under the number required to trigger an automatic recount.
Unbeleivable! Bravo Yanks! No wonder you guys are basically the entertainment capital of the world!

That doesn't take into account the overseas military absentee ballots, which are historically largely Republican. It has turned to be a fascinating election.

No, there isn't.

There are several; my personal favourites being Nirfur, God Of All Things Yellow And Furry, and Lovecraft's Chtulhu.

You silly monotheistic human.

I see this morning they are saying FL is less than 1000 votes diff for Bush over Gore. Democrats did a great job in scaring the seniors down here, rallying the Jewish Miami vote and carting the minorities into the polls. Even if Bush wins FL, I am ashamed that the count was so close both here in Florida and the country as a whole. To me it shows a real lack of morals in the populace. I do believe also this elections shows the need for a change in which the media are allowed to call states in an election. Their premature calls for either side can't be healthy.

Yes, there is a God!  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) I'm cautiously optimistic Bush will win.

And I'm surprized at the results in Florida too, Eagler.  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)

I don't have a lot of confidence in the way we do the vote, either. Boxes of ballots with only holes in them? No identification on them? No way to verify that it is a valid ballot???

In a situation like this, a desperate candidate or his supporters could slip in additional boxes of ballots...

In Palm Beach county, there were boxes of ballots that were temporarily misplaced! They were later found, but you get the point.

When it's this close the temptation is high, especially if there is little chance of getting caught. And for God's sake, lets get rid of that Electoral Vote thingy.

It's too early to celebrate. I'm sure that the Clintonistas will do everything they can to dick aroung the Electoral College and give just it to Gore.

Dec 18 is the date

Wouldn't it be interesting that the election was determined by the "overseas vote"(liberal mainstream media code word for military)!!!!!

Thing is, Gore and Bush are essentially the same ideals in two seperate bodies. THey both say essentially the same thing, just slightly twisted the words... and in Bush's case mispronouncing them.

Maybe that's why the votes in the US were so close together.. entire american populace is confused as to which one they should vote for because they are both basically the same.

Remember, Gore invented the human race, he's the one who created Adam and Eve. Bush is just illiterate... who do YOU want to run your country?

hahahahahaa

He isn't going to go down quietly. After the recount will come the lawsuits. Delay, confuse, deny, twist, exaggerate... you know, the democrats version of the truth.

Bad feeling about recount here in FL. Less than 950 diff now and shrinking. Amazing all of these "overlooked" ballots are now appearing. Heard Pinellas County, just west of Tampa, just discovered "numerous" ballots that missed the recount (which gave Gore an additional 450 votes) so they need to recount the recount. I smell a democ-RAT! Not to mention the majority of the election officials here in FL are Democrats.

Eagler

ps
Just heard that the first recount in Pinellas which gave Gore an additional 450 votes also took away 61 votes from Bush - net gain of 511 votes for Gore. Makes wonder how many more votes for Gore will magically appear on this third count doesn't it? It's really starting to stink around here.........

Don't worry eagler.

The servicemen abroad and their absentee votes woll put a rookie in the White House  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif). No insult to Bush, but he is a political rookie.

I don't know StSanta. If the new numbers keep going the way they are, Gore may be able to fabricate enough votes to overcome the absentee votes. Here's a link to a link showing the recount: http://foxnews.com/elections/ (http://foxnews.com/elections/)

Eaglar,is Rev Jackson in the Tampa area??
I understand that that election official took home ballots.  Says was an accident.  So am wondering why she only changed about 500 of them,is that all she was assigned to change?  What's the media saying there at ground zero?

You are correct, at least in their arrogant minds.

Question: Who controls the US country, the House of Rep, the Senate, or the President?

Answer: The press.

They are all in the West Palm area.

The local news varies. Radio talk is conservative, hopeful but smells a rat.The local TV, well - confused, but seem gleeful that Gore might grab it. They are basking in the spotlight. I think our only hope is the military vote. Wouldn't that be poetic justice.
