Title: use trim tabs on zeke
Post by: stockli on July 05, 2006, 01:01:51 PM
IT will out loop anything, use barrel rolls and yo yos alot.

When people see this plane most think of an easy pic, while in a zero if you can get your enemy to bleed e on first turn, you should be able to kill him.

This is one of the best planes in the game IMO especially the B model.

Unless you are outnumbered and as long as you stay patient, this plane is a stone cold killa.

P.S. trim does not exceed maximum deflection. Trim just makes it easier to hold a plane on a course.

I will pawn ya in my f4u-1 with your zeke.  Planes I have been having trouble killing is the hurri for some reason.  Not sure what it is but the hurri is a pain to turn fight with.  I have no problem with zekes, just hurri's,lol.

Thats really strange, because given same ability of pilot, the Zeke out-does the Hurricane in just about everything, except durability.

Maybe its the easier-to-aim ballistics of the hispanos most people are used to....

I think its because the hurri handles better at a higher speed where zeke has to be going slow to turn.  I guess I gonna have to fly a hurri once and see for myself, lol.

At high speeds (were talking 220+ mph here ;)) the Zeke still turns better then the Hurri, given use of the vertical. I never tested it for flat turns, but the Hurri looses her tight turn radius fast as speeds increase.

well, I know for 1 thing, the hurri out dives the zeke.  I have never had a zeke catch me yet diving on me but I have had hurri's catch me and stay with me yet at 400+, even in turns vers my hog at that speed.

True krusty, however i have noticed in this game alot of planes seem to hold e better when using tabs over stick.

Seems to make them easier to barrel roll in as well.

As Krusty pointed out, using trim tabs will not increase the turning performance of a plane.

I thought FM2s were on that list too ... ;)

You will not pwn me when I fly my Zeke ... once flaps get popped out ... it's all over ... gar-ran-teed.

I think he is confusing "trim" with "flaps".

I dont think so.  Subject line looks unconfused to me.  This is a very persistant myth, but a myth just the same.

Problem with the Hurris is they are so damn tough. It amazes me how when you light one up, they just shrug it off, turn around and start biting your rear end off.
Even when I flown  em in the AVA, and I'm an expert at getting my butt shot down. It amazes me how many time I get one home thats been shot to pieces.

I unloaded on a Hurri once in convergence with 6x.50cal. I had to pump half my ammo into him before he went down.
