Title: Any chance of this?

How about some sort of filter that determines your maximum lag then
dumps you if your connect is not up to snuff?  I know it would be hard on
the folks with cronically bad connects but would definitely improve the
arena for the rest of us.

nope. i dont play MA but i used to, long ago. i never got my free trial:(
back on track. now i know this isnt gonna happen because if 1 cant play because of lag, then i say we all cant play. everyone should have an equal shareaegikh i dont know what im talking about ANYWAY i know its not gonna happen

I really donīt see "everyone suffer". I currently log quite a big amount of flighttime (=WAY too much) in MA, and the people constantly warping around a really a very small minority. Sometimes perhaps a small annoyance, but not more. And they have far less fun than everybody else, īcause for you itīs only one warper, for him everyone is warping. You can shoot other targets, he can only spray is lead into the air and hope someone will fly through it.
And I would be interested in what amount of lag would be "maximum" for you. And of course you know that itīs not plain lag that causes warping...

It wouldn't be ME setting the maximum.  It would be HTC..I think they
would be able to set a fair standard for everyone.

Only problem I have with this is when I 1st log on and enter combat, I always know I'm going to miss my 1st shot. For some reason, the 1st time I hit my trigger I freeze for a second and am then kinda laggy for the next 3-5 seconds. After that, it's all fine and stable for the rest of the night. Now if you get disconnected for any lag, then I couldn't fly do to the small problem at the beginning of my flight time. Now if they could implememnt a way to monitor someone who has it happen "often" than I'm all for it. But if you get a laggy connection for a bit and get booted for it I think 1/2 the MA would be unable to play anymore.

Yes, I have a cronically bad connection on one computer, which restricts me to GVs. And though i may warp a bit, you are ALL warping around me, and since im a GV, even with a little warping, you still have NO trouble blowing the crap out of me. And i have never heard anyone complain about my warping.

Glad I am not the only one (misery loves company).

I started squeezing off a couple rounds as soon as I spawned to get the hitch out of the way.  Then kill-shot myself once doing it -- so now I at least wait until wheels up.  :lol
