Heheh Guys finaly gettn a new computer from Dell my dad works at boeing so he gets a 16% Off Deal cuz boeing orders all of its cpus from Dell. Well here is what my old computers stats are.

Computer Type:Compaq Presaro SR1010NX

Year Bought:2000

2.70GHz Intel Celeron Processor

256MBDDR SDRAM Memory

40GB Ultra DMA Hard Drive

CD-RW Drive 48X24X48X Max Speed

Just wanted to shout out how crappy my computer is before i give it to my bro.

what system are you getting.

Thats a harsh statement lol , he didnt even list specs of the new box.  While i always build my own , as do a good percentage of people here  , its not for everyone .  Dell's XPS 700 series are decent , overpriced ? , maybe , but saying everything dell has is crap isnt completely accurate .

While the Celeron stinks for gaming, its true, the system described isnt SO bad.  It needed alot more RAM, 256megs will barely run Windows XP let alone do any gaming.  Add a slow CPU to that and it would be gaming hell.  Put 2 gigs of RAM in it, a decent video card, and it would be a whole different ballgame.

New computer would still be better, but not everyone can afford that option.

Ok I appologize

I forgot he didnt list the new system. So on that note
and I'm Not trying to Insult him but I believe he doesn't know
Crap from Crisco so to speak.

I feel hes just buying a PC because its new.
as do most people so I myself could sell him a box with a processor
and charge him 2k ( of course you get what u pay for ).

My suggestion Do reserch in to the system
NO celereon,Turino, or SEmpron, CPU types they are CRAP (533MHz FSB)

get a intel or amd must be a P4 or DUO ALso AMD has the 64X2
u dont have to get a fx53 but anything with a X2 not SEMPRONS
