Title: Mammoth
Post by: Sandman on July 09, 2006, 01:00:48 PM
I spent yesterday at the Mammoth Mountain Bike Park (http://www.mammothmountain.com/bike_ride/bike_park/). Lots of fun. They turn the ski resort into a bike park during the summer months. Shuttles are provided from the bottom back up to the lifts. It's been a good year since I tore my shoulder and I haven't really been on any long mountainous single track since then. I'm sore as hell this morning, but I'm looking forward to the next trip up. :)

Here are a couple of pics from the north end of Paper Route:

Clouds were rolling in as we were leaving. Here's shot of the Owens Valley on our way back:

Back to topic.  Beatiful pics, Sandman.

Nice pics sandman!

Mammoth Mountain is about 30 miles south east of yosemite national park in california.  I was just there two weeks ago to catch some late season snowboarding.  The place is huge and  very beautiful.
