...and ran across this article. If you like to camp, read it and relate. Though I didn't encounter this during our recent trip, I have had trips like it in the past:

Regarding my trip, another great week of camping/fishin/waterskiing in the "Desert" as we call Eastern Washington in the summer time. Avg. temp was 95 deg with about 20% humidity.

Which is exactly the reason to put a pack on your back and walk where the ****ing camper trailers cannot go.

Sounds like a good trip but you seriously call that the "desert"? Serioulsy 20% humidity at 95F is bad? Come to south Texas during the summer time my friend!

i spent about half of an august in the davis mtns & big bend area, 1992 iirc.
really spectacular, but the august week i spent in organ pipe national whatever was warmer & drier.
both are great places to go.
this august i will be in E. WA...the difference between the eastern WA desert & the SW is that in WA the sun is up like 17 hours a day in summer.
last summer i was in E. OR, the sum goes down at 9 & the nighthawks come out in droves & they make this annoying buzzing noise that keep you up, then at around 4am the robins start singing, so you really do have to get drunk & take a nap in the afternoon...

Did you miss the "avg." in my post? ;) It hit 107 one day. Dry heat though, no humidity. South Texas is much hotter with humidity, you can keep the humidity there, we don't want it. :)

Its a walleye. Fresh water cod...best eating fresh water fish there is on this planet. It was 6 lbs. and 25 ", used a spinner with a worm, trolling.

Excellent! When do we leave? I'll carry all the equipment and you can carry my boat on your back. :D

Or even better far down a trail only a jeep or jeep like Vehicle can go. Nothing fullsize counts, they don't fit on many trails.

Damn shame you had to waste your money on one of those easy button boats.

Low humidity...Id love that...its been 80s this week, we're supposed to touch the 90s now, with humidity between 60-70%
