Post by: aerosaber on July 10, 2006, 09:47:27 PM
My son-in -law is a newbe and appears to be having problems with Lock Up and Host Connection Lost messages. He uses AOL, could AOL be causing the problem.

He has a cable modem and good graphic computer.

OOOOHHHHHHH YEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH

*Edit

AOL doesnt HAVE to be the problem, I know people that have used it (myself included) successfully and managed.

That said, it STINKS as a gaming connection.  AOL uses tons of system resources that a game like AH needs in order to run smoothly.  Not to mention all the stuff thats constantly running and downloading in the background.  Then there's the issue of how many little ways AOL digs its claws into your computer and gets into things it really has no business getting into ................

I dont like AOL much, I used it for years.  Still do at work.  Be glad the day I can finagle a backdoor into the network and not rely on dialup service for my office computer.

Now thats not fair.  You make the clowns look bad by associating them with AOL employees.

I dont think AOL pays anyone who could be classed as "skilled labor", and clowns have to go to skool and evryting.

Besides, you should never say bad stuff about clowns.  Scary.  Brrrrr.
