AH2 uses a simple standard for eligible planes: they must have been been in a deployed unit before the war ended.

From a practical side, HTC also wants to use actual measured performance numbers, not projected or "Luft46" imaginary ones. This game looks to get the same flight performance stats as seen in real life, but you cant do that if there arent any reliable stats.
