Title: Stupid MA tricks
Post by: AKWarp on July 11, 2006, 02:48:04 PM
Ever once in a while I get bored in the MA so me and a friend will take off in jeeps to go "4 wheeling".

Some of the maps have some great hills for some highspeed action.  Those jeeps can pull off some amazing jumps if you hit things just right.

Anyone else found any "non combat" related goofiness that's fun?

on the pizza map there was some great areas for gv jumping. one spawn you rolled down a llllooonnnnggg hill that had a bump at the end. it would shoot you out over the canyon wall over the water. you could jump to your gun posission and start fireing and the recoil would make you spin. you could allso drop troop out of a m3 no chutes but it was funny as hell watching them fall.

Every now and then I like to take a P-47N and load it out with max fuel, climb to 30+K and go cruise around anouther countries capital. It's fun to see how many 163's I can get to launch and come look for me:D

myself and some little homo that used to play the game called Deej111 went to the DA once and spent about 2 hours jumping off the high alt bases in m8's.

also chasing down friendly PT boats' torpedoes in another PT boat to killshoot them, that was fun. "WTF!?!??!?!!"

Now THAT sounds hilarious....I bet you're high enough above them that your icon doesnt show.

If I have a lot of time and a book to read while I get there....

I drove an M3 to the outside of an enemy airfield on the center island on that map with the 3 airfields and 3 V-bases. Parked up in some thick trees at the base of the hill there and went afk for a day or so.

Just collected proxies from all the noobs uping heavy lancs straight into the hill. I forget the total count, but it was over 200. Never made it home though.

Doing the flying ground troop release over a Port in the upper NW Pie, reliving classic Dukes of Hazzard scenes in a Jeep, and performing crude airshow routines over capped fields to entertain the guys sitting in the tower there. :aok

With the map with fightertown in the center with the lake in the center......

I'll launch a single B17 with a gunner, drop bombs shortly after takeoff and then fly down the center of the rook runway shooting everything I can.  I can sometimes get 3 passes before I get shot down, but I always get at least 3 kills in return.

:aok

During bouts of extreme boredom, or perhaps in a drunken stupor, I sometimes knock the wings off of an FM2 or F4F… and drive it around like a dune buggy.

I love to wait at the end of the runway and race beside someone taking off.. Just to see if they notice.

If you hit a small hill just right, you can get some serious air-time…. For a plane without  wings that is.

The other day me,chlli, latrobe and kuh2 went what we call "tube surfing" you take a jeep to a barn with a silo on its side then drive into the silo ,if you you hit just right you will launch over the barn:rofl  also take a M3 go though the down silo as you get inside pull hard right and you will do a 720 degree spin thown to the outside of the silo. After that we went to a bridge and jumped  over each other using the bridge as ramp .we have film of barn thing if somebody can host it:lol

Drive you PT boat a close to the rear of a CV on the right side. All of the sudden youll get sucked down by something then shot staright up end over end. Well, sometimes. Other times you get get sucked into the abyss and have to alt F4.
Title: Pond fishing..
Post by: mojo7 on July 12, 2006, 09:57:02 AM
Most MA maps have some great places to catch fish. I caught at least a dozen keeper size bass in less than three hours the other day. I caught all mine on a top water Rapala. Some hit while it was twitched on top, others hit as I reeled it in just under the surface. The bass were extremely shallow, often hitting right on the bank.
You do run the chance of loosing a big bass with a light outfit in a pond, though.

There are some real monster bass in Lake Uterus.Don't expect too many strikes, but hang on when you get one!
Bass are not the only fish you can catch, bream and catfish can also fill your stringer.

I kept the five bass I caught at Lake Uterus  and filleted them when I logged off. I know, I know - bass fishermen are supposed to let them all go, but I like fresh fish too much to put every one back. Those five bass produced 10 fillets and three meals for my wife and me.

Ok, First have a squaddie or two in tower of cv. Grab a Dhog, or whatever.
Roll backwards(giving little throttle if someone doesnt know how to reverse) . When you get up a good little bit of speed in reverse, at about the 3rd cable from stern, put your tailhhook down. It'll speed you up, then throw you off back of cv.
In DA got to field that has steep dropoff (A1)? Grab any gv, roll full throttle to edge, then off you go into wild blue yonder.
                                                    Have Fun!

An addon to that is that if you fire a salvo of rockets while you start accelerating backwards from the hook, they'll fly forward, up forward, straigh up, up backwards, and straight back. I ALMOST nailed a set of low-level buffs over a CV like that with an HVAR. Missed right between the wing and the elevator. :D

Up anything on a cv. Roll strait forward down the deck. Let yourself fall off in front of the cv. It will then proceed to push you until it turns.

That's cool Plink. The Jeep film reminds me of stuff I have done on my sled (snow machine).

How did you get the PT boat to do that?

Ahh yes, the high-alt Pizza fields....

Hammy, Furby and I used to fly off the hills in m3's and see how far we could go before smacking into the slope and blowing up.

Flying through the old AH1 VH's with p38s, IL2's and LA7's.

You can use the wind to do that. Or you can run it into the side of the CV just right to get it to fly twice as high.
