OK, so I'm in Lancs heading to A25 (Bish Base). As I approach, I see a Rook 190 porking the Bish field. There were 2 Bish uppers at the time. As I move in to drop my bombs, both of the Bish fighters turn towards me. I smoked one of them but I needed some help with the second. I asked on 200 for some help from the Rook 190. Instead of helping me, the lil bastage turns and shoots me down..:):)
We were both working to the same goal here.:)
So my question is this, What would you have done? Would you have seen an opportunity to flame some bombers, or would you have taken on the fighter first...THEN come after the bombers.
OR was it simply both of them saw the opportunity to flame a Knight????
I felt a little betrayed in this...LMAO.

I would have helped you get bombs out .
Then I'd a shot you down.:t

1) There is one basic rule: Only GREEN is friendly, shoot all RED
2) You may consider that many people are not tuned to 200 at all. So the 190 might did not read your message at all. But even if he did -> rule 1) ;)

I'd have made a few half-hearted passes on the fighters, let you take them down (wasting ammo in the process), stolen your kills, shot you down immediately after you dropped your bombs, and then I'd have laughed.
-
LMAO:):)
All in all I probably would have done the same, but I first would have helped out "the enemy who is not my enemy who is my friend" .

Hi NAV.. FWIW (for what its worth)
Personally? I'd've taken on the fighters. Have done so many times in same circumstances. Recently, I came onto a 1 v 3 (all nme) situation. Rather than jump the "1", I joined him in killing the "3". We both did a wingover salute and parted ways w/o a ch200 remark ta' boot! I'm sure he kept a rearview eyeball on me as I did on he however..
But, like somebody already said, if it's Red all bets are off.
Sometimes however, like Adicus Finch once said; "It's more of challenge to let something live than to kill it".

if in a Dora I'd shoot down the easy slow bombers, used and left over ammo on a fighter possibly then run home ;)

You really can't be surprised that a player from a enemy country shot you down, after all it is the primary intent of this game. Now pucker up and eat your dinner or you won't get any pudding.

i would have killed the fighter, then the bombers.
-
Depends if I could shoot you down without the fighters getting a good position on me. It also depends if you were coming right for me (can't pass up a head on attack against a bomber).
If of course both these things were met, yeah, I'd shoot you down first. Then again, I'd probably shoot down my own country's bombers if I were allowed to :)

The Enemy of my enemy is my next victim...
i would have hlped u take out the fighters
then i would have kindly "escorted" you straight down to the cold hard ground...
weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ....BOOM!:p

Thanks for the input guys.
And again, I myself probably would have shot the fighter down first then turned towards the bomber. :)
But what I left out is that the Rook 190 dropped in 700 ahead of the Bish (can't remember what ac) to flame me.
This by no means is a whining post, I just thought that it was comical and would pass this along.:)

Maybe he can only hit the really big targets that cant maneuver out of his way?
I guess I wouldnt assume he was there to win the war. I know of a few guys who jsut love to mess around with the edge of the enemy radar circle, get someone to up, and then mercilessly cherry them until they give up.
But as far as feeling wronged somehow. well -- you were a red icon in range. His choice.

I would have shot the fighters down. Told you on 200 that you were clear and then when I thought you were in you bombsite HEHEHEHE!

I remember one time I was flying over a Bish base looking for a fight, saw a Bish La-7 attacking a Rook B-17 formation that was about to drop on his base. I was in a F4U-1, about 2k above the La-7. The entire time I was torn between helping him with the buffs or shooting his unsuspecting arse down.
I couldnt resist, I shot him down and THEN shot down the bombers.
He cussed me for awhile on private, then after he calmed down he admitted he probably would have done the same thing lol. :)
Not sayin I was RIGHT. Was funny though.

Would depend directly on how many beers I had drank and my resulting cognitave and reasoning skills.
-
Id have engaged the fighter and then "run" like a bat from hell away from those nasty Bombers that either run away from me or acticely try to chase me down and kill me. PERK ALL HEAVIES!!!!
But then, id never have been caught in a 190 ;).

this is a good point.. at what time of the evening was this particular engagement?

I had the same thing in a way happen yesterday. I cleared 2 rooks tails from Bishes. Let em both rooks fly away to boot. BUT , the time I cleard a Bishes tail and climbed away to let him go , he chased me 25 miles before dieing to a few friendlies.
I was really trying to run as much as I needed fuel. Some people do it different than others , and most times both ways are fine.
-
Knowing how I fly, I woulda shot one of the fighters down. And while trying to get the 2nd, I woulda either gotten collided with or blown outta the sky by the Bombers (See 999000).
Either way, I probably wouldnt have gone for the bombers straight away.
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

I woulda augered while trying to make up my mind....................:huh

Unfortunately Nav many dweebs in this game only drive around and shoot red watermelon and don't have the mental capacity to realize what is going on around them. I'm not saying that base taking is all I play for but, if he was there to pork as you say then he should have had the brains enough to realize you both were working for the same cause. My only suprise is that we are talking about a 190 and not a lghey or dweebfire driver.
If it was me I would have vulched the bish taking off and then climbed to shoot your *** down after your bombs were gone.:D :rofl

neither... i would have waited until your bombs dropped and then i would have cleaned up what you missed... if i was there porking in the first place.
