Yea. It's always exciting watching the same team win over and over and over again.
-
Major League Baseball ranks right up there with NBA Basketball for me. They both suck huge monkey balls.
To many overpayed and underplayed athletes in both sports more in baseball though.
-
For the record, I never bet $$ with my heart, only my head. I'm routing for the D-backs, but put $$ on the Yanks winning the series (I have to collect that money to pay up my bet to Yankee! ).
My heart wants D-backs to win, my head said "Bet on the Yanks". Can't lose either way!
BRING THE SALARY CAPS TO MLB!!
-
Jeezus... you guys crack me up. That was a heluva baseball game. The pitchin was incredible, the infield was spectacular, the outfield was heroic; climbin walls and tossin back in long balls.. both teams doin impressive incredible things. Then the yanks come back in the bottom of the 9th to tie..
Ohhh; man; this is NYC BASEBALL!
Awsome game; and pure Yankee razzle dazzle come-back edge of the seat ball playing in the clinch.
Hate 'em if you like, but gawdammit, the Yanks ARE to baseball what John Wayne is to Westerns... they are larger than life; got cavalry just over the hill, kick bellybutton and they are tough as hell to beat.
Good series so far, can't wait fer the next game. :D
-
Yep, you can buy anything you want in the US, including championships. :D

And their fans are to baseball what D-batteries are to radio's!~ Yeah baby! ;)
-
Baseball's about as exciting as watching paint dry. 90% of it seems to consist of adjusting batting gloves after every swing. And some of the "athletes" make professional bowlers look fit.
-
Sour grapes; Rip?
If yer team wants to win the World Series, they gotta play better Baseball.
You gotta 'better car'.. you paid for it. Enjoy it.
We gotta better ball team. George paid for it. I'm enjoying it.
Ain't America grand??? :D
Now; go cry in somebody eleses cream of wheat.
;)
-
Yankees fan favorite site prior to the game:
Yanks visit this site more than any other (http://www.batteryguys.com/)
-
LOL!!
Still whining; Rip??
Odd.. saw the D-Backs smack a home run ball right into the upper deck last night... heluva souvinier; a Dback HR ball, hit in Yankee Stadium, during a World Series..
The fan threw it right back.
He musta been outta batteries.

That originated in Seattle..specifically in 1995 during the play-offs when we eliminated the yanks with Mr.Baseball playing first base. :D
-
What?? You mean the yanks lost?
My god, how can that be??
Did Georges checks bounce?
*snicker*
Pick an argument; and stick with it fer crissakes. :)

Okay, which one?
Yanks bought their championships beginning 10 years ago?
Yank fans are the worst with no originality other than the deadly game of lobbing batteries on the field at humans?
Which one? :D
If you don't have a problem with George building a dynasty with $$ then theres no reason you should have any problems with Gates doing the same with software. ;) ;)

is that were the kid dropped the pass in the endzone with secs left on the board?
-
East Carolina was up 27-3 at the .5. at the end of the 3rd TCU was within a touchdown. And yup, that poor kid dropped the ball at the goal line...

This is the Black Sox all over again. I was pretty sure something was up when the A's threw Game 4. Now I'm certain. Brenly leaving his closer in 3 innings? WTF??? Probably just another Bud Selig marketing ploy. Juiced ball, Wild Card, manipulation of umpires, and now this. I am a life long baseball fan but it now has the credibility of pro wrestling or NASCAR. I'm gonna go watch some Pro Lacrosse or Arena Football or something. Sheesh.

LOL Funked! What year was that Black sox thing anyway, earlier twenties, no?
-
almost rip. 1919 I think.
Uhmm, and just who started throwing back the opposing teams home run balls? Bleacher Bums at Wrigley were doing it before Seattle ever made the playoffs, and more than likely before Seattle even had a team. :)
-
*yawn* Hunh?? Oh.. right... BB..
Yanks bought their championships beginning 10 years ago?
Well hell; Rip, I guess the Mariners play for free? Or is it Baseball has become more like 'professional wrestling'?
Yank fans are the worst with no originality other than the deadly game of lobbing batteries on the field at humans?
Damn, I had no idea unruly fans were a NY monopoly. Pity, too; 'cause we would so like to share. ;)
-
Thats what I was thinkin' Nifty....I know I seen the Cubbies fans throw balls back on the field if the opposing team hit it. Dunno where Rip is gettin' his info...but then again if you listen to Rip you prolly think the knits were outnumbered 24 hrs a day for 2 months.
