Why would NK try to fire a nuke at the US with one of those tape- a- dongs instead of smuggling one into the US using one of their tried and tested heroine routes?

NK wants attention.  Iran has been getting all the press lately.  NK uses missile and nuke bluff so they can get more foreign aid to keep the hermit kingdom alive.
