I would like it if the mouse pointer icon would disappear from the flight window after a few moments of inactivity.  Reappear if the mouse is jiggled.

What say ye?

This sounds like a great idea.  It would get rid of a "mouse trick" some use to help them get an advantage while playing this game.


Make the mouse dissapear if it hasn't been moved in the last 30 seconds.

Probably he is referring to the use of the mousepointer as an aiming tool in ostwinds...

Well I don't know if it should be disabled in GVs, but I know it irritates me to no end in a plane.

I posted this like a day or two ago...no one replied. But hey, atleast now i know i'm not the only one bothered by the mouse gettin in the way!:D

Has anyone else noticed a small faint vertical bar next to the mouse pointer to the right? Like the AA for the pointer got messed up on the right side?

I would also like it present in GVs and gone in planes.

You can justify placing a marker (the cursor) on you GV site because a gunner would do that in RL.

Why dont you guys just move it out-of-sight by slipping it into the bottom right hand corner of the screen? Besides, what would the mouse users have to say about this?

It would have absolutely no effect on the mouse flyers, even though I understand mouse flying isn't officially supported anymore... because if the mouse is moving, the cursor is visible.  In my mind, the cursor would just disappear or go transparent when not moved for a certain amount of time.

You know, like screen savers kick in when you're not using your computer?  You're not going to complain about that now, are you?  :D

It would be a nice feature for some, but I think it's too much work for something where you just twitch your mouse and its gone for good!

Heh, disappearing mouse cursor is a problem for me since the last patch/version upgrade.

Seems every other time I log on the cursor disappears after a while and I can't get it back.  I have to alt-tab to desktop (and the mouse cursor is there in Windows, just not in the game), kill the game and restart it.  It's an annoying PIA for sure.


Anyway, what's this Osti/mouse pointer aiming thing?????

You just place your mouse pointer on the dot in the center of you gunsight. After that, you can raise your head postion with PgUp. You will have a better field of view and can use the pointer as an auxiliary gunsight.
