If I cant have my artillery or a sherman or a tank killing German plane.
I want to be able to fire the 14 or 15 inch guns off the battle ships. That would be nice to have 6 14 or 15 inch guns roaring off shels inland just to pound a base. but you have to have a brave sole to take a plane out to be a spotter for ya. Just bail out over a base and radio back help ya walk it right on in YEA!!!!!:aok

we would have to have a battleship first.. right now what you have is a CA = cruiser which only carried 8''inch

yeah .. it is. a full broadside makes the ship move like 10 feet .. notice there noone on deck? cause the concussion would knock them off

sigh..one of the many myths that won´t die...
Do battleships move sideways when they fire? (http://www.navweaps.com/index_tech/tech-022.htm)

a full broadside wouldn't move the ship to the side at all, or, so little that you would need a very sensitive instrument to notice it, simply because ships weigh so much and that water creates massive amounts of drag.
you might get a VERY small rotation in the ship, but again, it would be barely noticable, the only movement you'd really feel is a shockwave from the sound of the guns firing:aok
back to the subject of the thread, i would LOVE to see a more complex naval element to the game, and for players to have more to do with ship control than just setting waypoints and shooting guns :)
