I would like to have one of these in the MA or AVA it wouldnt take much to convert a P-51B over to this It want verry good over 8,000 feet in a dog fight but the webpage said that it was a great divebombing platform this is not a P-51B this is a A-36 ground attack aircraft look at the nose of the aircraft reel close. Like I allways say yall might call me a retard but I would like to have it I think it carred 2 500lb bombs and some tube rockets. Here is the web sight for refrence.

Dang Red. Putting an Allison engine on a P-51 is like putting a dong on Jessica Simspon........... I wouldn't touch the stick on ethier.;)

The P-40 had the Allison and it flew great it was heavyer than the P-51B so the Allison would not pull it as well. Besides it says it wasnt a Dog fighting aircraft it was for support and dive bombing. So the Allison would be OK with me.:aok

Fair enough. The A-36 would be a cool addition for the AVA and Events Flying. Wasn't the A-36 called the Apache? Also does it do jabo better then say a P-47? If not it might not be a big hit in the MA.:aok

Well they put some nice dive flaps on it and said that it would slow down to 250mph in a strait dive so I think it might be a little better than a P-47 but only in dive bombing It might just be fun to fly and tear stuff up with. Think about it you send in around 20 of the A-36's to suppress the enmy base and right behind thouse you have around 20 47's diving in on the base the base is yours. The A-36 would be a little harder to combat in the air because its more manueverble than the 47 and you bring in the 36's to stur crap up and do a little pounding keep them below 8,000 feet and be the 47's cover. the 50's in the nose would be a lot more acrit then the one's in the wing. and the turn rate if you pop your dive flaps just for a breif secound and then put them back down. Like I said PORK THAT BASE!!:aok :aok :O :O :noid :noid

The Apache had the exact same problem that the Merlin-powered Mustangs had in ground attack missions: One VERY vulnerable radiator easily damaged by ground fire.

But I have faith in it and it would give us a new plane to play with until they can finish work on CT and start on any new planes it wouldnt take much to make this one just a little moding on the 51-B and we would have a decent new plane.

Pinged Allison or not, it would find use in both the AVA, and Special Events.
