Title: Mini-Dueling function in the Main

Objective - a constant supply of 3 on 3 fights.

Function - Opposing bases launch 3 fighters at a time at set time intervals.

Result - 3 on 3 duels with fighters starting at the same time, same alt and dueling to the death.  

1) Take a set of opposing bases that open on a set time table and only allow 3 pilots to take off when they open.  (maybe 7 minute intervals)

2) The pilots log into the base to que up with a set, select plane and loadout  and are automatically put on the runway from wherever they happen to be.  (that way you can go and play while you wait)

3) These are isolated non capturable bases with really good ack to keep vulchers and bombers away.

4) Repeat a set for each pair of countries.

5) You might also set some bases to historical matchups.  Viola! instant A vs A in the Main.

We have so many bases on the maps. Why not use a couple for dueling?  If you wanted some real duels you got em.  If you want to continue with the current nonsense, you got that.  We have GV vs GV bases.  Why not dueling bases?

or... we could have fields with some of the bases about 3/4 of a sector apart and then you would have constant 10 vs 10 or more battles in the MA..

My long standing request for a large open field, a dayglo painted bus and a bandstage for for a peace rally has gone unfullfilled, so I wouldn`t hold my breath if I were you.

The point being...

You have 6 people in the dueling arena and not too many more in the A vs A arena.   Thats a lot of fun.  Having this feature in the main makes it easier to use and attract great fights.

There are not very many good fights in the Main.  It's all a giant furball.

This helps the main by supplying a constant dueling type of fight.  Instead of a series of stupid HO's.  Or the ever popular getting jumped by 10 others while you are already fighting a 2 on 1.

It's been so long since we had anything but Quakebirds in the main that most of the current players don't know what a good fight is.   The older players are getting senile and the memory fades.  

How many are are terminally bored and have left AH?  How many are waiting for  for the new TOD or what ever they are calling it now in hopes of avoiding quakebirds?

How often are you finding a good fight only to get jumped by the horde?

Nice idea but someone, like myself, would see the darbar and think "hey there's a fight" and come screeming in at warp speed to......"help" only to disrupt the balance of power, cause an increase in global warming...start tornados followed by another ice age... Don't do it guys! 3 on 3 on 3 on3...are you mad or just playing god???? AND would someone please stop ringing that cow bell...

A dueling function IN the MA???  LOL, that's nuts.

That's what the DA is for.

Oh I know about all the whines about not enough folks in the DA...well, maybe that should tell you something...or maybe you should get on 200 and gather up the furballers and go to the DA.

If it's in the MA, it's fair game for everyone, as it should be.

All the whining about griefers, lol..please, every team has them, every team has the porkers and the hordes, etc.  

Stop whining about how others play as if you have some special claim to rights in the game.  You don't like how others attack or bomb or fight, then you have a few options: don't play, or take it to another arena.

In other words...shut up and fly!
