Over 14300 people died in Iraq in first 6 monts this year !!! over 6000 in last 2 months, over 200 last 2 days !!,
Watching the blood in those fotos, i was thinking: ,
Why did America, the most advanced nation, start this nonsense slaughter, Why don't take more responsability to try to stop it?
Why goes on and on ??! or is this last "Divide et impera" tactic tried in Iraq?!

yeah maybe....

No, just the strong stink of a troll I guess.
:noid
-
Oh?
Let me in on your thought process...
War rages, civillians die. Someone notes it.
That constitutes a troll....... how?
Please - I want to understand.

Why did America, the most advanced nation, start this nonsense slaughter, Why don't take more responsability to try to stop it?
?
-
"Divide and rule" is just expressing concern about civilian deaths?
-
You have a question about his question?
No worries.
But his question doesn't beg some Prima facie response... lest the thread be locked.
It begs an answer. Do you have one?

That is horrible news, and I do wish it weren’t happening. And although I will be accused of being an uncaring warmongering Bush supporter for my next statement I only add it to give perspective
There is good news in the world also I just read in an article that the murder rate in the City of Rio de Janeiro fell to only 31,390 last year so never give up hope.

Well look at that.
The death toll in Rio dropped.
Call in sick tomorrow 'cuz we're all gonna be dancing in the streets.

Better make it the rest of the week Nash more good news, things are really looking up. Got this next quote from the Documental Centre for human rights in Iraq
"Coldly taken as a daily average for the 24 years of Saddam's reign, these numbers give us a horrifying picture of between 70 and 125 civilian deaths per day for every one of Saddam's 8,000-odd days in power"
Edit just did the math to save you the trouble thats 25,550-45,625 per year
-
I'm exposed to all kinds of accountant-speak..... but I've never heard it said:
"Coldly taken as a daily average..."
And I have no idea what this means:
"Coldly taken as a daily average for the 24 years of Saddam's reign, these numbers give us a horrifying picture of between 70 and 125 civilian deaths per day for every one of Saddam's 8,000-odd days in power"
...and since you're quoting something here, mind if you give me your source?

Yeager kind of off your topic but I think it Reinforces what your thinking. Another Churchill Quote (love that guy he had a way with words)
"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.
The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualist deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity.
The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.
Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities - but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.
Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome."”

Nash can't remember exactly where in two I did the cut and paste of the quote but these are the sites I looked at you'll find it and more in them.

That's not "sites." That's one site. Singular.
It's called "iraqiholocaust.blogspot.com"
I encourage eveyone to go read it....
"Numbers do not capture the quality of death that remains the main issue for those still alive. In any case most victims meet a different fate [from those whose executions are officially recognized]. The pattern is for agents to pick someone up from work, or at night from his house. No explanations are proffered as there would be in an official killing."
This is the very first paragraph to the site. Sorta like going to IBM's website where they say "IBM is about solution-based thinking, and we'll take your business to places here-to-fore unknown."
Well... Gunston has latched onto a website that talks about "officially recognized" deaths and the "quality of death" and "most victims" and "official killings."
.....in its very first, welcoming paragraph.
Good to meet ya, Gun.... wouldn't wanna be ya.
Peace.

You have, afterall, directed us to such useful pearls of wisdom such as:

But I do have to admit you got me with that "Hate" website comment.
What gave it away was it that report by the well known right wing hate group Amnesty International.
Or the other one from the equally well know right wing extremist group Human Rights Watch.
Yea I guess I'm going to have to get up pretty early to slide any of those Republican Hate Groups Propaganda under your nose.
edit... just went back to the site it was that report from the radical conservative TV network the BBC on the tortured and murdered children was'nt it.
Dang if only I could have deleted that one maybe you wouldn't have picked up on the whole "Hate" website thing

If I call a website junk....that's only my opinion, sir.

A quick retread over your comments and your sentiment...... It's unmistakable.
War.
You're elated.
And it's sick.
Perhaps something to do with the "quality of death" that you want us to get off of some hate-blog.
Who knows....

Actually no I hate the war but unlike you understand the need to defend the world from a grave threat.
Also there is quite a difference between calling a website a "junk" website and calling it a "HATE" website. "HATE" conjures up the mental image of a KKK or Nazi image in peoples minds and I don't think many they go there will come away with that impression.

america did try to stop the killing, for 12 years the USA and the UN asked mr saddam to stop killing his own people, saddams answer was to shoot missiles at US airplanes and gas the kurds and build mass graves for the sheits.
right now if the terrorists would just stop killing iraqs the USA troops would come home.
"peace in our time."

so if we reinstalled a brutal dictator like the sadman then the death toll would only go up about 100 civilians a day?
How is America to blame for terrorists killing civilians in iraq?

As long as the civilian deaths don't make the news they never happened. Sadam didn't invite the press to watch him populate his mass graves.

We're not the ones beheading. In case you didn't realize what's been happening:
Meanwhile, the widespread "killings, kidnappings and torture" cited by the U.N. report remained on full display on Wednesday.
In southern Baghdad, attackers stormed a grocery store in the New Baghdad neighborhood, where they shot and killed four members of a family that owned the store. Then, they detonated an explosive where civilians were gathering, killing three people and wounding seven others.
Maj. Gen. Fakhrou Abdul Mohsen was gunned down when he was leaving his house in what emergency police called a drive-by shooting.
A car bomb, followed by two other blasts, killed five Iraqis -- including three police officers -- near the Technology University in southeast Baghdad, police said.
Two civilians were killed and 12 others were wounded while outside a cafe near the courthouse in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, police said.
Police told CNN that 10 slain, unidentified bodies were found across Baghdad on Wednesday.
The dumping of slain bodies -- many with signs of torture -- has been a common occurrence in the capital and elsewhere since Sunni-*****e sectarian violence escalated after the Feb. 22 bombing of the Askariya Mosque, a *****e shrine in Samarra.
More than 20 employees of the Sunni Endowment were kidnapped on Wednesday, a spokesman for the group said. Mehdi Mashhadani said the incident took place when the people were leaving their offices in Baghdad and heading home to Taji, north of the capital. The agency manages for Sunni mosques and shrines across the country.

Let me guess this goes back to the "He Lied" myth ok I'll agree with you if you will also admit that all these quotes are from people who knew them to be untrue when they said it.
PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON: "[M]ark my words, [Saddam Hussein] will develop weapons of mass destruction. He will deploy them, and he will use them." (Remarks At The White House, 12/16/98)1
PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON: "In the next century, the community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now – a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists, drug traffickers, or organized criminals who travel the world among us unnoticed. If we fail to respond today, Saddam, and all those who would follow in his footsteps, will be emboldened tomorrow by the knowledge that they can act with impunity, even in the face of a clear message from the United Nations Security Council, and clear evidence of a weapons of mass destruction program." (Remarks At The Pentagon, 2/17/98)
PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON: "[L]et’s imagine the future. What if he fails to comply and we fail to act, or we take some ambiguous third route, which gives him yet more opportunities to develop this program of weapons of mass destruction and continue to press for the release of the sanctions and continue to ignore the solemn commitments that he made? Well, he will conclude that the international community has lost its will. He will then conclude that he can go right on and do more to rebuild an arsenal of devastating destruction. And some day, some way, I guarantee you he’ll use the arsenal. And I think every one of you who has really worked on this for any length of time, believes that, too." (Remarks At The Pentagon, 2/17/98)
PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON: "We have to defend our future from these predators of the 21st century. … [T]hey will be all the more lethal if we allow them to build arsenals of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and the missiles to deliver them. We simply cannot allow that to happen. There is no more clear example of this threat than Saddam Hussein’s Iraq. His regime threatens the safety of his people, the stability of his region and the security of all the rest of us." (Remarks At The Pentagon, 2/17/98)
MADELEINE ALBRIGHT, SECRETARY OF STATE, CLINTON ADMINISTRATION: "Iraq is a long way from Ohio, but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risk that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face. And it is a threat against which we must and will stand firm. In discussing Iraq, we begin by knowing that Saddam Hussein, unlike any other leader, has used weapons of mass destruction even against his own people." (CNN’s "Showdown With Iraq: International Town Meeting," 2/18/98)
SANDY BERGER, NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER, CLINTON ADMINISTRATION: "Some have suggested that we should basically turn away. We should close our eyes to this effort to create a safe haven for weapons of mass destruction. But imagine the consequences if Saddam fails to comply and we fail to act. Saddam will be emboldened believing the international community has lost its will. He will rebuild his arsenal of weapons of mass destruction, and someday, some way, I am certain, he will use that arsenal again as he has 10 times since 1983." (CNN’s "Showdown With Iraq: International Town Meeting," 2/18/98)
SEN. JOHN KERRY (D-MA): "Saddam Hussein has already used these weapons and has made it clear that he has the intent to continue to try, by virtue of his duplicity and secrecy, to continue to do so. … It is a threat with respect to the potential of terrorist activities on a global basis." (Press Conference, 2/23/98)
SEN. JOHN KERRY (D-MA): "If you don't believe ... Saddam Hussein is a threat with nuclear weapons, then you shouldn't vote for me." (Ronald Brownstein, "On Iraq, Kerry Appears Either Torn Or Shrewd," Los Angeles Times, 1/31/03)2
SEN. JAY ROCKEFELLER (D-WV): "I do believe that Iraq poses an imminent threat, but I also believe that after September 11th that question is increasingly outdated." (Congressional Record, 10/10/02)
SEN. JAY ROCKEFELLER (D-WV): "Saddam’s existing biological and chemical weapons capabilities pose real threats to America today, tomorrow. … [He] is working to develop delivery systems like missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles that could bring these deadly weapons against U.S. forces and U.S. facilities in the Middle East. He could make these weapons available to many terrorist groups, third parties, which have contact with his government. Those groups, in turn, could bring those weapons into the United States and unleash a devastating attack against our citizens. I fear that greatly." (Congressional Record, 10/10/02)
SEN. HILLARY CLINTON (D-NY): "In the four years since the inspectors, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. … It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capability to wage biological and chemical warfare and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." (Congressional Record, 10/10/02)
Tim Russert: "Do you believe we could have disarmament without regime change?"
SEN. HILLARY CLINTON (D-NY): "I doubt it ... I can support the President. I can support an action against Saddam Hussein because I think it’s in the long-term interest of our national security." (NBC, "Meet the Press," 9/15/02)
REP. NANCY PELOSI (D-CA): "Saddam Hussein certainly has chemical and biological weapons. There’s no question about that." (NBC, "Meet the Press," 11/17/02)
SEN. CHARLES SCHUMER (D-NY): "[It] is Hussein’s vigorous pursuit of biological, chemical and nuclear weapons, and his present and 10 potential future support for terrorist acts and organizations, that make him a terrible danger to the people to the United States." (Congressional Record, 10/10/02)
HOWARD DEAN, CURRENT DNC CHAIR, FORMER GOVERNOR OF VERMONT: "There are such a thing as international outlaws. I’m not sure if China is one, but I’m quite sure Iran and Iraq are." (CBC/PBS, "The Editors," 1/31/98)
SEN. TOM DASCHLE (FORMER D-SD): "Iraq is not the only nation in the world to possess weapons of mass destruction, but it is the only nation with a leader who has used them against his own people. It is essential that a dictator like Saddam not be allowed to evade international strictures and wield frightening weapons of mass destruction." (Congressional Record, 2/12/98)
SEN. HARRY REID (D-NV): "We had to attack. [President Clinton] had to do what his military advisors told him he should do ... Now is not the time for second-guessing or partisan finger-pointing. National security concerns must come first ... [Saddam Hussein] is too dangerous of a man to be given carte blanche with weapons of mass destruction." (From Brendan Riley, "Nevada Leaders React To Iraq Bombing," Associated Press, 12/26/98)3
SEN. JOHN EDWARDS (FORMER D-NC): "Serving on the Intelligence Committee and seeing day after day, week after week, briefings on Saddam's weapons of mass destruction and his plans on using those weapons, he cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons, it's just that simple. The whole world changes if Saddam ever has nuclear weapons." (MSNBC, "Buchanan And Press," 1/7/03)4
SEN. PATRICK LEAHY (D-VT): "I have no doubt Saddam Hussein is lying. He has lied countless times before. He is likely hiding weapons, including chemical and biological weapons. The U.N. Inspectors' Report leaves little doubt of that." (Congressional Record, 1/30/03, p. S1782)5
