Howdy folks <
>
just figured i'd see what kind of funny stuff you guys have been through...here's one of mine
I had 3 kills in an Il-2 and wanted to land...right as I touched down a 190 strafed me and took one of my wingtips off....then while wrestling my bird down the runway to a stop, I took off the other wingtip and came to a stop perched on both main gear and the nose....like a monument to stupidity...then the 190 made his second pass b4 I could land...I do have a screenshot

I always thought this pic was funny, i took it when i figured out why the CV was being steered right into a PT spawn.

not much, it would appear to all purposes though that todd caught GrmRpr sailing two bishop CVs to a PT spawn point that possibly the rest of the burgerkings were waiting at??
i just wanted to laugh, point the finger and run, please dont tempt me back again

And this crash landing of a Vulched Zero is pretty good too.

I'd post the crash landing I managed tonight, but EVERY time I try to save the film as an AVI in the film editor it COMPLETELY screws up the film and doesn't follow what actually happened . However, when I watch the actual AHF it's perfectly fine (the "real" file I land. The AVI I just keep flying level forever).

Try http://www.fraps.com . Much faster and much less grey hairs then the "save to AVI" thingy.

Hiya Bat,
Not that I wouldn't do such a thing.. (LOL! I would! Just for fun of it)
(sail a CV into a tank barrage for ha-ha's)
But, just for the record, "GrmRpr" and the the squad "Grims Reapers" are 2 separate entities, both of which are at war with each other.. socially, literally, and inter-personally.. (One on Knights and one on Rook).
I severely doubt that "Hawk" and "GrmRpr" would conspire in any sort of friendly way. I may be wrong, but I'm in the "Grims Reaper" squad, and I see no love loss between the 2?
If there was a sudden "conspiracy" however, then, woo-whoo! for them!
LOL. BUSTED.. :-D
Just FYI,
Later Gator,

when did Grims Reapers and Hawk get into this????
I R CONFUSED

You got us! We are the known CV sinkers of the game. Anytime we find out where a CV is, we up our D3As and send her down into the depths.:aok
Then again, who's to say grm was taking it into a spawn point? Just because autopilot said it? Has he shown you his "personnal" collection of WW2 photos? Hmmm this might just be the right thread to post a link to it:lol

The setup: During the furball over A3 last night I had just been rammed for the SECOND TIME by the same LTARd (someone SERIOUSLY needs to ground those guys).
As I decreased speed I had to shut off my port engine to keep the plane level. If the starboard engine quit I would be SERIOUSLY screwed.
With aerodynamics slightly better than a brick unfortunately I couldn't get the best approach, so first touched down about halfway down the runway.
After bouncing the initial touch I hit HARD and skidded out of control...
...lost what was left of the wing...
...but SOMEHOW still stuck it on concrete recorded the three kills.

This is a fairly typical landing for me.

These are old from the Nomad archives, but still appropriate I think, as I've tried to pass these lessons on to the 80th Headhunters.

ROFLMAO, looking at that I SO wish I still had the footage from the flaming P-40 landing I made back when I flew with the 475th.
Touched down on fire with one wheel, cartwheeled and rolled the wreckage right in bewteen two P-38s and came to a stop next to an M-16. :lol
