put two 30mm in the right wing tip of a B24 to no effect and on the same pass got a bad pilot wound, I reviewed the film and there was no hit sprites anywhere on my plane.....excuse me but WTF
really aggrivating because it seems a 262 is extremely vunerable to pilot wounds, I would sure like to know if they have been coded to be so or what
anyone else feel that way?
-
If that was me, Bombardy, I showed a couple of hits on your 262.. I'll review my film also.

please look at your film if possible, mine shows nothing and all the tracers going underneath my plane
BTW, nice kill
I would like HT to look into this kind of thing though -

Found the spot in the film. I clipped 3.5 mins out of our encounter. It appears I hit you in both passes.
PM me your e-mail addy and I'll mail it to ya.

Yeah, sounds like a lag issue to me. I have had several where I take a pilot wound or engine hit on an HO a full second or two after the con had passed me, and on reviewing the film there is no hit sprite, just that sudden "bang" of damage being rendered.
-
I've had it happen in tanks where I was trying to see where they hit me and no hit sprite. I just say oh well and keep truckin.
-
Hits and damage come from the shooters PC. If APDrone shot Bombardy in the pilot, the hits will show up on Drone's film, but may not show on Bombardy's film.
Even with good connectons, there is a delay for data to travel down the interntet.

iv had the same thing of late. wings blown off ect but no hits to show it.
-
wow, my film shows basically no hit sprites of any kind but APdrones shows lots!
APdrone, thanks again for sending the film !

It´s the concept of different realities..
Hits on an aircraft just follow the same mechanism as collisions: If the shooter hit his target on his computer (HIS reality), then a message with corresponding info about damage & location is send to his enemy´s computer. As we all should know by now our enemy does not see our plane at the same time & place we do see ourself. He is shooting at that "drone" we are towing behind us.
I have a ping to server of about 150ms. When i review my films, I always see my enemies shooting at a seemingly "empty" space of air approx. 10-50 feet ( depending on total lag) behind me. When I am hit, I never see hit sprites on my screen. But thats just because of internet lag, there is no way you can get rid of this.

You're welcome, sir.
Glad I could provide info that can help explain some of these inconsintancies we perceive.
I figured I must've gotten a pilot wound or you were low on ammo or fuel, as it is apparent you know how to attack bombers and you left while I was still going.

i got a very big example of this. i lost my tail and wind and never heard a hit or saw a hit. also i got a msg saying i shot someone down yet i had not even fired a shot yet lol

The last thing is a entirely different issue. It was a proxy kill. If someone dies close to you (for example by crashing into the ground without being hit by anybody), you still get the kill. If anybody had damaged him before, he would have gotten the kill.
-
Sounds more like a collision than a proxy. Proxies dont cost you a wing and a tail.
-
Oh, i thought that were two different occurrences. But if not, you are of course right, Star!
-
the plane flew by me in perfect condition after the tail and wing was lost. so he didnt collide with me. he deff shot me from a distance.

You mean HIS plane was not damaged, so it could not be a collision? If so, you are wrong. In most collisions only one plane gets any damage at all. The collision happened only on YOUR computer, not his.
-
he def didnt collide with me as he came from behind. and i was in my chute when he flew over head so i recon he was like 300 ish away from me when he nailed me
