Title: RC Airplanes

There are few guys I work with trying to get me started on RC (remote control) airplanes.  Any advise on planes a rookie should start crashing?  Maybe someone can point me to a previous thread if this topic has been worn out.  One of the guys I work with even has an RC simulator.  Is this worth considering?
