I am having trouble getting the squad message of the day to show up whenever you first enter the arenas. Any suggestions?

Do you mean you are setting up HTH rooms, and want it to display? Or do you mean you're joining other rooms, and it's not displaying?

Main arena, the squad MOTD doesnt display when i or other players first enter the arena.

The only thing in your MOTD file, on the server, is a '.'.

What is the name of the file you are trying to upload and is it located in the squads folder of the game's installation directory?

It should be named 'sqdmotd.txt'.

That is it. I keep typing in there and uploading, and typing directly in the game, and neither works.

From the help file:
"A Squad Message of the Day (MOTD) can be uploaded by the squad CO or any member with Invite and Eject permissions.  The message can be either a short message (up to 128 characters) typed in and uploaded, or a longer message that is composed in a SquadID.txt file and then uploaded, with the SquadID being the game id of the squad CO."

When I upload a motd as the squad CO I use 'fuzeman.txt' as the upload file.
I believe you should use 'Reynolds.txt' as the file to upload if you are the CO. If not use '[your squad's CO gameID].txt' as the upload file if youir not the CO but have both invite and eject privledges.

I just tried it and that works for me.

Edit- Also , if you have one already loaded, definately remove that one and start fresh with no motd.

I am still having problems with the squad MOTD in version 2.09 patch 5. I have invite privileges, I use my CO's name.txt in the correct directory and I can upload the file just fine. But it won't show unless I type .showsquadmotd

I would like this to pop up whenever the squaddies login so they don't even have to think about it.

What are the chances of it becoming automatic upon Login ?
