Title: LTAR Salute
Post by: badhorse on August 01, 2006, 06:58:02 AM
I am still relatively new to AHII and to the fourms. Durning that time I have seen items written about the folks in LTAR both good and bad.  But I do know that they are good at what they do.
Last night a few friends and I were attacking V115. It was being defended by LTARdeth and a few of his friends.  It turned into a good fight. We finally took the base but not before LTARdeth and I had killed each other a few times.
LTARdeth, don't know who you are but I salute you sir. You put up a tenacious and spirited defense.

I suppose that the only ones that will badmouth the LTAR's are those who have fell to their guns.  Hey, when they were in another country I would call them "LTARDS", not because I didn't like them but just because they kept killing my sorry buttocks.  They have been in my country for some time and I look forward each day to flying and driving with them as they are a great bunch of guys.  You'll also find that they aren't just great on the ground as I've seen them many times be great in the air!  I know many many bish that are proud and pleased to have them as fellow countrymen.

All the Best...

I know this may shock some folks that a BK is going to say this, but I dont have any problem with the LTAR's. They are good at what they do, and when I did a lot of GV'n in the past with my former squad the Hells Angels, we had some epic battles with the LTARs that lasted for hours.

LTAR's, are a bunch of good guys, I don't see how anyone could have a problem with any of them, they are a stand up group

I remember when the bug existed when the 50cal's had the power of a 30mm. Wooo man, thought like I was making a run on a CWIS R2D2 equipped ship. Irony being the M-16 was the CWIS, + the 50cal auto AAA on the base - got interesting.

Salute, guys and gals alike (wipes tear from eye)

It's always a good time when it comes time to take, or defend, a base and either or side says "ya ain't getting this base!"  Then.......let the fite (fun) begin :aok

So I'm a bad guy because I said something nice about the LTARs? All I meant by that is for people like you who think all BK's are the same, they might be amazed that any of us have something positive to say about the LTAR's. I think it is you who needs to get off the high horse not me.

You Mean BK's aren't all clones and look the same????:O  OMG

Grits I'm more worried about what damage u may have done to ur rep bro, by giving out compliments like that :rofl  (j/k)

Whether it's BK's, JB's, or HA's.......the fite's are always good, and the squad competition is always healthy.

Um . . . Another pot meets kettle moment, it seems . . . Only this time, you are the pot.  Or is it the kettle? :huh  Lost track.

As a member of a known "furballer" squad, Grits simply knew he might not be taken at face value complementing a known "landgrabber" squad.  Nothing high-horsed about it.

Sheesh . . . Think we all need some lighten-up!  :aok

But I digressed.

Thank you all for the kind words about my squad.  I feel lucky to have been given the opportunity to join them.  The MA was stagnating for me before I was asked to try them out.  Now it's a hoot all over again.
(/end self-indulgent musings)

But, it wouldn't be a hoot so without all the great competition.  So, big <> to all we face!

I would also salute those I fly with, but that would be mostly LTARs, and I don't want them to get a big head or anything . . . OOPS said too much.

As CO of L.T.A.R  I thank you for your kind words towards my squad.

The MA is filled with all types, the people here are some of the best I have had the pleasure of fighting with and against.

Thanks guys  <>

I have no problem with the LTARs either; if you aren't vulching and aren't in a tank, you won't even see them 99% of the time.

Did anyone notice the new paint job on my Ostwind? Fly down a little closer and I will show you.  :D
Title: Guys you love to HATE
Post by: EagleDNY on August 02, 2006, 11:18:04 AM
Since the LTARs are flying bish, and I most definitely am NOT, I'll put them in the category of guys I love to hate.  Sort of like NY Yankees (and their fans), or Dallas Cowboys (and their fans) - they may beat ya, they may even put up a good fight, but I'll always be happier if they go down in flames.

LTARs - here's to you, and to the 1,000lb bomb I just dropped over you!

When the HA's and LTARs both decide they want to own the same piece of real estate it usually turns into the Battle of the Kursk, with combined land and air forces slugging it out for hours.

Whenever a HA kills/gets killed by a LTAR, the call goes out on squad channel where the LTAR fight is and the donnybrook is on.

Great fights LTARS! Win or lose it always results in some fun action.

LTARS always put up a good fight. One thing I noticed though, the last couple I gave to some lesser known (to me anyways) LTAR's were un-answered :(

LTAR’s are formidable opponents. They definitely have a couple of black belts in ostwind operations. Always a good fight against them.

May have simply missed it.  Like all squads, occasionally someone starts talking about something and lots of stuff ends up passing on the text buffer before anyone notices.  Or if you did so on channel 200, some of the guys don't tune in.  Certainly it was not an intentional slight.

So,

21 "S" Salute.
Hope it makes up for it at least a bit . . . :aok

I used to give the LTARs a hard time, but it was all in good fun.  Now I just take it out on Moil and Rokit every now and again   :D

There do seem to be quite a few new ones running around... I guess the LTAR bandwagon must've gotten a new paintjob and some dancing girls.
