Based on.... ?

Looks pretty legit to me. That's one of the reasons loaders are taught never to stand behind trhe mian gun during or after loading. Of course there's less room behind the breach during recoi inside a turret as well.

Yeah... I'd like to see you prove that.... or were you the idiot that is saying he pulled this one off.
-
Looks like a pretty swell thump to me.
-
ya, that looks a bit fake. the weapon fired right after he closed the breach. usually a lanyard must be pulled with a cannon like that. if some one did pull it, then that is a crappy gun crew.
-
Why would it be fake? It looks like a textbook "don't DO that" demonstration.
What the hell is it these days with people callin fake on everything they see?
-
While I can understand that the round could have gone off from slamming the breech shut too hard, the lack of response from every single person around him screams out:
FAKE
-
the guy looked like he was in a rush and he pulled up the levor which shot off the gun. the guy was probably a "newb" any way how could that be fake. how do ACT that out. lol

OK, but what made me say different was that everyone else was looking down range... and when the guy on the right looks to the left, you see the other two are not in the pic.. presumably attending to the fallen idiot!

Looks real enough.

The other two not in the pic doesn't change it's fakeness. If anyone gets hit by the recoil of an artillery piece, he makes a distinctive sound (even if it's just the hollow sound of his chest cavity) and is immediately attended to by everyone around him, regardless of military ways.
The guy in the foreground immediately turns and looks at where the injured soldier is, but does nothing.
Yet again, it screams:
FAKE!

Been around a lot of artillary?
-
well the range nco ran back for some reason.
The guy on the right stands there like a dunce but thats not so ubelievable.
the slow mo version shows him doing somthing on top of the breach while he is trying to load it, bet he set it to auto fire or something.

Learn that in the 'Nam did ya?

Dunno... I read a piece by an WWII artilleryman describing a barrage he participated in. His gun's firing mechanism (a lanyard attached to a spring loaded dingus if I recall correctly) broke so he had to touch the sucker off by hand. Every shot resulted in the recoil whacking him in the hand and wrist. But they couldn't just quit because of the whole "you're in a war so suck it up" thing, so by the end of the evolution his hand and wrist were swollen to the size of a football.

Beat me to it. Buddy is over (Army 81-88). He was a Forward Observer. He saw it and said that it could damn well happen.

Obviously not, but, opinions are like ?????............

I've seen quite some people acting really dumb next to someone that's bleeding to death from a cra accident, work injury... The surprise factor combined to a "I don't know what to do anyway", and a below average IQ is leading to such behavior.
Laser you must not have left your bedroom much since birth:p
