Title: Question about billing
Post by: frank3 on August 02, 2006, 05:35:48 AM
I've already send an email to billing@hitechcreations.com, but in anticipation to their answer, I have a question.

I would like to subscribe to AH, but I haven't got a credit card, it's also not an option for me to send the money by mail.
Is it possible to send the money by bank-transfer? And if so, to which account?

Thank you in advance,

Frank

We do not have the option to do a bank transfer.  Credit/debit card, check, or money-order are the only payment options available.

How about a one year subscription paid in advance with money order mailed?

a 1-year sub is rather hefty... About $180 (USD). Sure there were other games before AH where you'd pay that much in a month, but for those of us scraping by, getting that much in advance is hard to do.

Frank, you could send a check in every month, but have it pay for the FOLLOWING month. so you mail it in August, but state it is to pay for September's subscription. That way you get a month for the mail to get it there.

EDIT: That is, of course, if HTC can even accept pre-payments??

Pre-paying is fine.  A one year pre-pay is $149.50 (plus 7.25% tax if you live in Texas).

Just a suggestion... Frank, how about contacting a fellow Dutch player (Bug322, Hogenbor, or some of the others in there) who have subscribed to AH, ask them to pay for your account too (it can be done, although you have to give your login ID and password to him - or the other guy his credit card information to you), and then pay your part via bank-transfer to the other guy.
