Used to be HTC put out new content at a fairly good rate, every couple of months we got a fewnew toys to play with.  Past few years its been  like...."Hello, anyone home"???

I dont pretend to know what they are doing, or what their business model is, because it is certainly not evident anymore, to me at least.

Lets get some new machines in game!

What most people say is HTC is working on CT (Combat Tour) and they won't start adding new stuff until it comes out. The faster they all work on CT, the faster it will come out and better chances of getting new planes, and vehicals, and new features. When will CT be done. My guess is around the christmas holiday.

I would like a B-29, but I don't think that there isn't much difference between a B-25 and the B-26 we already have.

And definately we should get a P-39.

You would think with the lack of updates (in the form of news) from them that they were actually working on real top secret stuff from the pentagon... However if that were the case, the New York Times would have published all of the info by now.  :p

Seriously the new planes/maps are the only thing that prevents this game from causing burnout en masse...  Personally I nor my squad, nor some of our friendly squads could give 2 cents for the combat tour concept.  The majority of us work 8-10 hours a day and dont have time to play the game according to the wishes of an AI mission planner, we play the game to shoot the breeze with squaddies, down a brew or 10, blow stuff up and kill people.

If we don't have some hint at what is going on with the game at least every month to 6 weeks, (not a daily bulletin... I am being realistic) then it is hard to stay excited about the future of the game.

PS: I know this is coming so I will go ahead and say it... We will get more stuff in "two weeks".

I just dont get the feeling that HTC is a full time business anymore.  I envision a empty office with a closet full of servers busy making money.  Im sure I am wrong about it but thats the honest mental picture I get when I think of HTC.  New planes and new features have been snail speed ever since AH2 came out several years ago.

Yes to the B-29.  Its no more a threat than the 262.  Just be a perk bomber.  I doubt HTC will ever do a B29...or a P61...or a Helldiver for that matter.......At least not before I hit retirement and my eyes are bad.  Things just aren't happening around here.  Not at any discernable pace at least......

If all the folks that wanted a B29 pooled their resources together, actually created a monetary fund....and if, and this is a big "IF", if HTC would consider the possibility of accepting a substantial payment to actually build a 3D model and a physics model of a B29..........then......

Then you would have a B29 in AH :D

I remember an online poll many years ago that included the SB2C as well as the D4Y JUDY JUDY JUDY I've always hoped that meant they had the data required to model these planes (well, one of them anyhow). I guess we'll know sometime after ToD/CT comes out.

once we get the b-29 in people r going to ask for the A-bomb, then they will want new wars, like the korean war, vietnam, desrt storm (gulf war), ext., then when they get thos ethey r going to start making up planes, vehicles, boats and, stuff like that!:noid Before that they will ask for the first tanks ever made, then for some thing thing like a B-2 spirit: stealth bomber, F-117 nighthawk: stealth fighter, cobra attack helicopter, AH-64 apache attack helicopter, ch-47 chinok: transport helicopter, black hawk, huey, and every army thing that ever existed!:noid :furious :mad: :t :noid :furious :noid :noid :furious

I just want to make sure that this is your argument:

If A occurs,  
B will inevitably happen.
B is wrong; therefore
A is wrong.

Can anyone in the class tell me what this is an example of?

The Lancaster could have carried either little boy or fatman if the need had arisen.

In any event, atomic bombs just aint gonna happen in AH.  And they should not.  Its almost pathetic that anyone thinks this is even a point of gameplay.

But this game, and more importantly, the people who love to level bomb, deserve the B-29 (albeit well perked) as much, if not more than, any other strategic bomber.

To call on the exclusion of the B29 in AH really shows an individuals shortcomings as a person of knowledge or wisdom.  No plane that actively served in combat or support should ultimately be excluded from the game for any reason.  Although at the current rate of new rides being introduced, its almost a moot point.
