Say I am flying airfield supplies...I do an air drop and end up crashing on landing before the supplies hit the ground....Do the supplies still count? This happened the other night and a squaddie told me that my supplies just blew up in mid air upon my death....
second...When a base is captured that still belongs to an enemy zone base is there anyway the base can auto re supply its self? or does it have to be done manually until that enemy zone base is caught

from what I understand it will not resupply itself, though don't quote me on that.
from the help files:
When a master field is captured, the factories will supply all fields in the zone owned by the capturing country. Each country has a primary zone which contains the country HQ, and this zone cannot be captured.

AFAIK the supplies should still count. Killing a goon that drops troops does not negate the troops, and I would be surprised if there is a different standard for airfield cargo. Must admit I never tested it, though.

The base will not be resupplied, which means all objects destroyed will be down for the maximum time (2 hours for most airfield strats). Remember that resupply takes time off the 2 hour maximum, but there is a maximum. So you can either wait 2 hours or manually resupply to bring it up more quickly.

Supplies will count so long as they land. They can be shot in mid air by shooting the chute.
Zone captured bases do regain in time.. the max time. resup brings it up quicker
