Hi,
I'd like to start playing Aces High 2 and I'm trying to setup the game.
I have an old Microsoft force feedback pro joystick and want to use it in windows xp for the Aces High 2 game. Is there any way I can do it?
Right now, I can't even find its driver for the windows xp. I heard that MS doesn't support it for windows xp anymore but noticed some users in this forum are still using it.
Thanks for your help.

if u have the original MSFFP it won't work. If u have the MSFFP2, it will work. XP has drivers alrdy for the MSFFP2 but u can install the MS profiler software and stuff if u want to use the force feedback. U don't have to have the profiler running but it needs to be installed in order for it to work properly.

I think it's ffp 1. Thanks for your help anyways

OK...TAKE NOTES THIS IS WHAT I DID FOR MY FFB PRO (NOT XP SUPPORTED, GAMEPORT ONLY)
1. THE FF DOESN'T WORK ON MINE WITHOUT A POWER SUPPLY SOLDERED INTO THE LITTLE POWER PLUG RIGHT NEXT TO WHERE THE MAIN WIRE FEEDS INTO THE BACK. OPEN THE BOTTOM OF THE STICK AND YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE WHERE IT GOES
2. GO TO GAME CONTROLLERS IN CONTROL PANEL...IF IT DOESN'T DETECT IT GO TO ADD CONTROLLER AND SCROLL DOWN TO "MICROSOFT SIDEWINDE AUTO DETECT" AND THERE YOU GO. TAKES A LITTLE WORK BUT IT'S NOW THE BEST, SMOOTHEST WORKING STICK I'VE USED SO FAR.
SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS....DIDN'T KNOW I LEFT THEM ON

I had a ms precision pro JS that I used when I started this game (XP)
I re formatted & since then I've been unable to get XP to recognise it.
Does anyone else use this stick on ah anymore?
Is it possible to get the drivers from someone currently using this stick?
:cry :furious
ps
not trying to hijack thread esohn, just grasping at straws to come up with a solution.

Well, I have the Sidewinder software (drivers) CD. But its 383 megs.
I also found this place.
http://www.input-drivers.com/drivers/114/114633.htm
These are for the precision pro. If u have a precision pro 2, I suggest doing a search at that site for it.

I've tried to get the drivers from this site. All I get when I click to dl the file is a bunch of spam to download another load of crap. This driver dl site is frustrating to say the least. I don't know how you can actually get anything from there except the programs they are pushing for their advertisers.
Thanks anyway MwDogg.

ok woody. I dl'd 1 for ya. I compressed it to 13.3 megs. I could probably break it down to smaller 1's for ya. How much can your email handle? Or do u have MSN Messenger? Send me a PM on your addy. Maybe we can setup a download here through messenger.
