upside down in a rolling fight with a Ki-84 down low in my 38G. Gawd I love those fights when they happen, in particular when I don't die :)

How comes you're not trailling smoke Dan ? you were out of fuel ?
;)
nice kill btw :)
-
Clearly a HaXX0r type manuger. Good kill.
-
That's not low.
:D
-
1,500ft above the ground is kinda low. Look at the trees. Its atleast 1k-2k
-
Ok Dan, fess up. That cannot be your P38. I scanned it with a magnifying glass and found no missing pieces, no bullet holes, no oil splash, no smoke.
Sooooo, was it your wingman and you were following in a badly mauled P38? :D
-
I dunno, only Dan would fly a perfectly fine P-38 upside down like that. That's definitely his plane.

Upside down with the flaps extended. Hmmm, you might be right. Maybe photochopped? :)

1,500 feet is only low if the base is at 1,300 feet.... Fighting between the trees is good fun.
My regards,

I love fly between the tree patches. Its good visual training, and plane manuavering training.
1,500ft is pretty low for dog fighting. 10,000ft is good dog fighting alt. 30,000ft with 200 B-17s, 30 P47s, 40 P51s, 10 110s, 36 109s, and 42 190s, now thats a dog fight.
-
pssssssssssssh who is that KI84 pilot. If that was me it would be me gettin that cockpit shot :D . Of vourse i would have blown all my ammo considering how bad my aim is.

Nothing like hearing "BOOM" come from behind you at ground level. It's the quickest way to turn a 2 on 1 into a 1 on 1.
