Say you are about to embark on a long journey, a spaceflight, or you are going on a reality tv show like Survivor. What would your last meal consist of?
For me:
-Beer battered cod
-Deep fried french fries with a smidgeon of fish batter on them
-Mashed potatoes, with brown gravy
-Country style biscuits (I like to break them up and put them in the mashed potatoes)
-Real Lemonade
-
My mothers Meatloaf
hand-mashed potatoes smothered in dark dark brown gravy
fresh kernel corn right next to the potatoes so I can mix them together
green beans cooked in buter and worcester
bottle of heniz ketchup, bottle of lawry's.
dr pepper soda in glass bottles
-
Pepperoni and garlic pizza with a good German beer.
-
16oz New York Strip
Twice Baked Potato
Harp Beer
Pink Floyd playing in the background
-
How much time do I get to eat??
3-4 pancakes, butter, blackberry syrup
2-3 scrambled eggs, with ham, sausage, cheese
5-6 slices of bacon, not too crispy
sausage
sausage gravy on 2-3 biscuts
hash browns
bowl of oatmeal w/ brown sugar
toast with butter/peach preserves
small glass of orange juice, bottomless glass of milk, bottomless cup of coffee
Breakfast the most important meal of the day :aok

Fresh ground and brewed Kona coffee.
That or several slabs of smoked ribs and a watermelon load of beer.

Hells bells, I don't care what I eat, as long as I can eat it with friends and family, since I won't be seeing either after heading out.
-
Hypocras
Foie Gras poêlé with Ficus and apple.
Snails (with tons of butter and Garlic)
- Chassagne montrachet
Tournedo Rossini + pomme de terre noisette/duchesse + french green bean

(I guess I'll end the bottle of Chassagne with some Roquefort)
Crème brulée

-
I thought this thread was about things to be eaten straffo :huh
-
Foie Gras is pretty good, but rather expensive for a good piece of it. At least it is here. I prefer it lightly covered in chocolate sauce with a good port wine to sip.
Still not nearly as good as a pepperoni and garlic pizza. :D
-
Morton's
Caesar Salad
Chicago Style Bone-In Ribeye
Lyonnaise Potatoes
Lemon Meringue Pie
Coffee
-
Foie gras, French for "fatty liver," is made from the grotesquely enlarged livers of male ducks and geese.
Sounds...um... Yummy (http://aolsearch.aol.com/aol/redir?src=singingfish&requestId=836bfbe78338df1a&clickedItemRank=8&userQuery=throwing+up&clickedItemURN=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sounddogs.com%2Fpreviews%2F2176%2Fmp3%2F116475_SOUNDDOGS_CA.mp3)

to hell with the calories!
this days my absolute favorite is:
Pizza with Mozzarella & Gorgonzola cheese, onions and lots of roasted garlic &
giant shrimps and fresh oregano, served with a good cold beer (preferably a german beer ;)
-
Charred sheepheads (boiled of course) with mashed turnips, and rotten shark as an eftercourse together with "BRENNIVÍN" schapps.
Landing on the moon without a suite is no problem after that, and as a "Survivor" the point has already benn proven.
:D :D

Are the jalapenos cooked into the chicken batter? That does sound mighty good. Except I might go for ranch dressing on the salad.
-
The Jalapeños are pickled or raw. One bite of jalapeño, one bite of chicken. You won't know how good it is till you try it. :D

Simple question for me... The following should be on my plate
1 Grilled porterhouse steak (20oz or so) seasoned with red pepper flakes and garlic powder medium rare such that the meat against the bone is blood rare. Since no one will get my steak right, I'd like to grill it myself if at all possible.
2 One nice sized lobster tail with Garlic and butter.
3 A twice baked potato with plenty of garlic
4 Brocolli cooked in Olive Oil with heavy garlic, red pepper flakes and a little romano cheese
5 A really bad arse glass of red Zinf, or a thick Porter beer such as Black Butte by Deschutes Brewery.
and for Desert, Tira Misu and maybe some good Mint&chip Ice Cream.
Sorry if that is oddly specific :-)
-
Right now, I could go for a Dos Equis Amber, a bag of barbecue Ruffles, and a tub of sour cream.
:)

Beer and sour-cream?! Are you deliberately gaining weight? It's a combination that's very usefull if you want to get some extra body fat ASAP.
Last meal, not very impressive, I am on frozen food mostly now:
Two frozen pork cutlets microwaved with some cheese over them, salad leaves, spicy aubergine paste, some bread, cherry curd and Russian ginger-bread (pryaniki), plus a mug of tea.
-
stuffed or fried mushrooms for the appetizer
salad with a vinagrette of some kind, maybe a honey lime one. yum
porterhouse, rare.
twice baked potato (or stuffed potato)
new york style cheesecake with strawberry or raspberry topping.
beer would be a home brewed brown ale or porter. :)
alternatively...
Fried chicken
mashed taters and milk gravy
fried okra
fried squash
collard greens
creamed corn
sweet yellow cornbread
sweet iced tea
chocolate pie (preferably like my great granny made!)
(and all those veggies have to be fresh!)
-
T-bone steak tatertots:D macaronni and cheese biscuits and a big cold beer

No... I haven't had a bag of ruffles and a tub of sour cream in years and years.

Smart, or stupid for that matter, is not a geographical trait. :D:D:D

We make pizza here time to time, usually on a friday night. I grind fresh garlic with some olive oil, then mix it with the cheese before spreading on the pizza. My ten year old loves her pepperoni pizza done this way, her favorite.
Same as you, but sub the beer for sardines.
