who was the first country,person, plane to paint there plane with one of these crazy paint jobs?

i hope this question isnt a tall order, i noe planes come out of the factory wit a stock paint and are then moded, just curious about who was the first.

Goes back to WWI.  Mostly done for easy ID in the air but then guys started to personalize it.

Yellow nosed 109s was for easier ID.  Individual group colors were used by the USAAF, again for easy ID in the air.

Most Air Forces did something to help make ID easier in combat.

but when did they start putin girls and shark teeth. i seen alot of cool lookin paint jobs, like the one on the ju87 wit the snake on the side.

I think nose art specifically begins in WWII.

Flashy Paint goes back to the Germans in WWI, Richtofen's (I'm sure I misspelled that... Manfred the Red Baron is the guy I'm trying to spell) Flying Circus and similar.

As soon as someone made an airplane with guns, someone showed up with a can of bright paint.
