Just a headsup to the gamers. Sierra is releasing the multiplayer part of FEAR for free in a couple of hours.

All in all... it's not any more fun than Unreal Tournament.

Hell... it's less fun. The load times are horrendous. Sure, the maps are pretty and the environment is well modeled with all the sort of useless stuff you'd expect from bloatware like this. The rooms aren't just boxes with a pretty texture pasted on. They have "stuff" in them. Empty cans, vases, chairs, etc... and all of it can be moved around (read "shot at").

It's a bright shiny example of what's wrong in the gaming industry. They don't know how to do anything new. They only know how to make the old stuff prettier.

I couldn't play past 30 mins. The icons and cluttered screen ruined it for me.

Good thing I got the game for $20 at Media Play when they were closing down. :D  Gotta love taking advantage of corporate failures.
