TO in a touchdown celebration pulls a gun and caps the Tuna saving him from dying of a coronary after an 0 and 16 season.  When he is acquitted of the shooting by a jury due to 'justifiable homocide of an egomaniac' he offers to finish off the entire Jones family.  The Raiders offer him a 100 year 25 million $ a year contract to coach, gm, and play for them.  He turns them down in favor of an offer from Bill Gates to hunt down every Mac user on the planet and kill them.  He finds Osama Bin Laden but, unfortunately, OBL is using XP legally obtained and passes on offing him stating 'he's very dedicated to what he does'.

ps.. go cowboys

Don't feed the troll fellahs :)

As for the season, Chargers take the west, but between Rivers being a n00b and Schotty being, well, Schotty, they lose to some team that they beat during the regular season.

I'm surprized we haven't heard from Sandman yet lol.

Ya know... This year I haven't paid any attention to the NFL at all. I think I'm done. I've reached my limit for commercials and watching men stand around while sportscasters go on and on and on about absolutely nothing. It also doesn't help that the Raiders have sucked for the better part of two decades. I used to be so into it. I ran a fantasy football league for twelve years. Nowadays, I'm fresh out of rat's asses.

NHL pre-season starts in a month. :aok

If Culpepper can stay healthy I think they have a great shot. It's funny, you figure between New England and Miami their defenses would be their strong point, but their offenses might surprise people this year.

You know I have to like New England:D

With the talent the Chargers have had the past few years, you wonder if a coach like Belichick would have made the difference

When my prediction comes true, I'm going to rebump this thread.

The eagles will once again fold like a cheap tent because of A.) Andy Reid, and B.) Donovan McNabb, and C.) Lack of Terrel Owens.

Those three things will be the direct cause of a choke again.

Agreed, any breakout from Miami would depend on Culpepper being in useable condition, but thats just it.  I think Miami actually has an offensive line that can give him the protection he needs.

Another "maybe" on the list is Arizona.  They finally put some decent meat up on the offensive line too.  If they can keep china doll Warner from getting hurt, he can rack up some impressive numbers with that arm.  Personally I'd like to see them drain down the toilet like they do every year, but for some reason I have this irrational liking for Warner.  Maybe its a holdover from his glory days in St Louis.  Who knows.  Just dont be surprised if he manages one more good season before he retires, and the Cardinals break out this year.

Speaking of damaged goods, anyone hear if Pennington is a go for the Jets or not?

Oh, and did anyone watch the mauling Cinncinnati gave Washington last weekend???  OUCH!  lol  That was nice.  Better watch them too, although I think they'll explode all on their own without help.  Too self destructive.  Talented tho.

Well, I saw them play New England over the weekend, and it wasn't pretty. Their offensive line was horrific, and they couldn't stop New England on 3rd down. That is a bad combo, to say the least. But I tell you what, that kid Leinhart looked good, real good, better than the QB taken before him, much better. He has great football smarts, great SA and makes good decisions. He looked like he had not missed a day of camp, when in fact, he only had practiced 2 days. It would not surprise me if he takes over the starting job before the halfway mark of the season, if not sooner.

Denny better start to incorporate some three step drops into the playbook, cause if a vanilla defense was bringing that much heat, he's going to have a real problem when the season begins and exotic schemes are thrown at his offensive line.
