It's a mess :) It's not any scheme besides what the warbird 51 owner wanted as it's a mix of 357th FG nose colors and 50s USAF.

Su Su got it's name from Astronaut Frank Borman of Apollo 8 fame.  It was his bird at one time.  He's also owned a TF-51D named Su Su II and a P63 KingCobra.

The marking under the windscreen of SuSu is the squadron emblem for Borman's 44th FS that he flew with in the 50s.

Bill Anders, also of Apollo 8 fame, owns a P51 as well called Val Halla.  Anders 51 is marked as a 57th FS bird as he flew with them in the 50s.

Ahh yes..Val-Halla.  One of my favorite skins from a long time back.  Made her originally for someone that was wanting a 51 skin for AH Racing prior to the AH Racing League being formed.  Dan had givenme a couple of screenies of her.  Was a lot of fun.

Thats one of the surviving "Peace Ponies" from Indonesia.

They're featured in the current issue of 'Warbird Digest'.
