Clinton looks rather poor for a man of only 60 years. Perhaps if only he had a good and decent woman to keep him feeling young and vital

Clinton is a good man. He was a good president. Compared to his successor, he's a genius.
I'm just dissapointed he didn't have his party at the Playboy Mansion.

In bubbas case, Yes unfortunately.....but with his tendancy to accumulate fatty deposits in his arteries, I dont think it will be an issue for too much longer
-
bubba? Is that republican slang for Bill Clinton?
-
he is from Arkansas... hick slang maybe?
-
"Bubba" was the codename his handlers gave him when he was the mafia head of the arkansas inbreeding agency (aka arkansas state government).
In Bills unique case, "Bubba" is a most appropriate and fitting moniker.
For what its worth, I like bubba and would love to sit down and have a beer with the old geezer :D

The family medical leave act saved my job when my daughter got sick, i'll give him that much

It is available to all ex-presidents and their immediate family. Most use this as a matter of national security. i.e. it wouldn't look good for Nancy Reagan or Ladybird Johnson to be kidnapped by AlQueda.

I came kinda close.. :D
He visited Norway shortly after he was booted from office and him and his crew went right by me into a resturant. I knew he was in town but not that he was going to eat at the Theater Cafe when i was there. I think he studied in a norwegian university or something when he was young and has visited many times since. The tabloids even specualted that he had bought a summer home here at one time but that was not the case.
I guess the commie likes commie countries :D

Same for vice presidents, or is it for the ex top men only?

I never considered old bubba much of an american anyway, so in that respect, you can have him, and while were at it please take that nasty old hag of a wife of his too. She was at the root of his downfall imo and would be as missed as a bad case of crotch rot.

Unfortunately for us and America, he wasn't booted from office. He was just done.

I'm not sure if I'll ever get over the nightmares of those 8 years of economic growth, the war fought in Kosovo without a single casualty or the endless reminders that our President was actually pretty smart...
the horrors of the 90's....

BTW the White House is OUR house, not his. I little respect would have been nice. I hope age and health issues have brought some maturity into his psyche. Age certainly hasn't led to our Georgia ex-gov President Peanut getting any smarter. The man who gave rise to the modern Islamo-Fascist movement by allowing an embassy-taking (by treaty an invasion of American territory) to go unpunished for more than 400 days is still vain enough to criticize current foreign policy.

Smart? based on what? He was a master politician...that is to say a master liar and deceiver. A man that had the intellect of a statesman but the personality of trailer trash. The man did nothing worthwhile for the nation in eight years of disgraced service. He was a loser of a man who loathed the military. He was an outright liar and continues to lie to this day. He is an admitted adulturer (although I cant hardly blame him, look at his wife). His 8 years in office were pathetic vacuumes of suck.
Nope.....Klinton was and is nothing but a pathetic loser whos legacy is simply that of a liar and a cheater. A consumate modern american politican.

LBJ was bad? geez I'm crushed. He's the only sitting US Prez to ever visit NZ, way back in 1966. It was a short ra-ra tour 'er Vietnam is over thataway boys' sort of thing.. but at least he came. I get teary eyed just thinking about it.

I could personally care less about his Monica thing. But, what pisses me off is his almost totally overlooked erosion of the 4th as part of his "war on drugs" platform. If anybody should have known better.... but it was a political calculation that got him public approval from organized law enforcement and broadened his base into the more red state area.
Similarly, he ALMOST managed to accomplish much with his international relations and foreign policy. Couldn't quite close the deal. The best I can say of him is that he didn't screw up the bonus (but false) economy he was handed with globalization and the digital tech explosion. To be fair, he helped push globalization which I agreed with at the time but see limited value these days to those not in the top .5 percent economically in this country. Didn't manage to screw up the sole superpower thing either, though he took longer to act in the former Yugo in the face of European weakness and indecision than I thought he should have.
All in all, a wash, but he is George Frickin Washington by comparison to the current clown in the Whitehouse. The knee jerk "anti Klinton."

Hum, what's the problem with that? Does it make him a bad president? Does it have anything to do with the ability to take decisions or govern a country?
From a foreigner perspective, he managed to not make enemies from former allied countries. That's enough in my book!

It's not the adultery that makes him a bad president, just the perjury.

I didnt know a blowjob was sex.......riiiiiight. There's a reason they call it *oral sex* and I'm not naive enough to think Clinton didnt know.
All politicians lie imo, Clinton just told rediculous lies.

Sorry, at least Clinton could speak at length, and in coherent sentences, about his own policies. And he must have done something right. We had 8 years of economic growth and prosperity. He ended his terms with a budget surplus. If you want to place the credit for that on the Republican Congress, how come Bush can't get the same results with a Republican Congress? Bush is nigh incoherent and it is difficult to believe he is engineering or even fully understands the policies of his administration. (See Cheney for that). We have had a 600 billion dollar reversal on budget deficits in his tenure. And if the deficit is due to 9/11 and the War on Terror, why is our president slashing taxes to the point we can't pay for this war, or not vetoing the spending his own party is passing in Congress, if he wants to pay for it that way? Where is the draft if this a war of civilizations? He squandered the amazing good will we had after 9/11 to chase his tail in Iraq - before Afghanistan was taken care of. He ignored his own generals' advice about going into Iraq (see Shinsecki) and the advice of his own Secretary of State on what could happen after the invasion. Bush is in office because the Republicans were able to create enough fear to stampede the sheep. How many terror alerts have we had SINCE the 2004 election? Those of you who cheer this administation's unitary executive theories and cancelling the Bill of Rights during time of war better be thrilled with the knowledge that a democrat like Slick Willy (whom you detest) could wield those same powers. I believe Bush will go down as one of the lesser presidents in our history.
-
Dhaus, the mere fact that you posted all that means you know absolutely nothing about economics, or even history for that matter.
We hates us our Clinton cuz he gots a blowjob while on doody and ... gawshdangit .... he's one `o dem democraties. Cain't let a day go by we don't think bout it and hates him mo.
It wasn't that he got a quickie. It was that he PERJURED HIMSELF. Last time I checked, that is a felony offense. If anyone who was not a democrat had done it, (the lying, not the BJ) they would still be serving time!
But it wasn't the perjury that really got me. It was the multiple counts of rape, sexual harrassment and abuse leveled against him since back when he was governor of arkansas.

Well ... GW can't serve time if the Congress refuses to hold him accountable for his lies, can he? ;)

Ahhh ... it was the levelin' that got ya. Levelin'. Got ya. ;)

Ah yes, the perjury charge for which he should have been in jail. I literally watched an attorney (he was the defendant in a civil tax case) testify in trial about the authenticity of 50 documents. For each one he testified under oath that his father had signed the document on the date indicated on the document. The problem was that we had a certified copy of the father's certficate of death establishing that the father had died prior to the date of the earliest document. So, he committed 50 acts of perjury in a civil trial. I submitted the transcript together with copies of all documents to the prosecutors. I called. I visted their offices. They were too busy with "real" crimes to be bothered with this. Had Clinton been treated like a "regular" citizen, there would never have been a perjury count mentioned. Had Clinton actually committed the rapes of which you fantasize, he would have been nailed to the wall as governor or during his campaign. Meanwhile, the Bush administration manufactures "evidence" (see Powell's testimony at the UN) and implies for months that Iraq was behind 9-11 to stampede the country to war in Iraq. You impeach Clinton for lying about consensual sex, but stand behind Bush & Co. when they lie to force the country into war. Talk to the wife/mother who is hanging up a "Welcome Home" sign for her marine husband coming back from Iraq, only to learn he will be heading back for another tour in 4 weeks. Go visit Walter Reed hospital. Talk to doctors who are so busy treating war wounded that taking an afternoon to attend the funeral of one of their patients is considered time off - the first time off in two weeks. (Yes, I have done all of these things.) All because of a war that diverts resources and effort from combatting terrorism. I was being charitable when referring to Bush as one of our lesser presidents.

Is this the "Mr Black" aka ninja-sniper version of law you plan to practice? Will you be playing SRV's guitar? :D

Don't forget lasersailor, when you have the law, pound the law. When you have the facts, pound the facts. When you neither have the law nor the facts, pound the table. Bush has been pounding the table a lot. Oh, after you have a grasp of constitutional law, maybe you'll understand the danger to our system presented by Bush & Co's novel interpretations of the president's powers.

ROFL, if anyone were truly paying attention, we wouldn't be in this mess. The Dems wouldn't have run two idiots who couldn't beat Bush, and the Republicans wouldn't have given him the blank check he has had.
-
And this is why you are a good lawyer. I could easily be drawn into arguing with you, an argument I cannot win. Not because I'm wrong (I'm actually completely right), but because you're so quick with your statements that you lead people around by the nose.
