Title: Eng sound volume -
Post by: Waffle on August 24, 2006, 11:02:47 AM
Internal engine sounds for planes / tanks.  Would be nice if there was no way to turn them completly off. Maybe have 50% volume the lowest setting, but always on.

Something to prevent the the folks flying / driving with no engine sound just so they can hear enemy planes / tanks better.

Unless I am mistaken It does not work like that,

You can turn your engine volume all the way down but you wont hear the nearby cons unless you turn your engine off...

Had never thought of that, Might just change the way sound volumn is done so your volumn and there volumn is the same.

You mean like outside of vox, have it be a master volume instead of just an internal engine volume level?

More like grouping then internal/external sounds under one slider. That way there's correlation betwen the two. So if your internal engine sound gets turned down - so do the external engine sounds. That way if you like flying without an engine sound-  all the enemy planes wont have engine sounds either.

So I assume that I am mistake HT...

I swear that when I fly the Hurri-1 and the engine cuts out I can hear other aircraft and as soon as the engine starts again its like their sounds dissappear....?
