The 1963 Kyu Sakamoto song (renamed "Sukiyaki" for Americans for some stupid reason) holds the record for the first #1 pop recording in the US performed entirely in Japanese. What is the actual name of the song. What US radio station in what city first played the original Japanese version of the song. What was the unfortunate accident that ended the life of this artist in 1985.
Hint on the city: I live in the Tri-Cities. Richland is one. It was one of the other two that played the song.
