my first 2weeks in this game in the main arena were kinda mixed.i watched as 10 players chased 1 enemy player around a field.the 10 players let the enemy player fly up to another countryman who was landing and never even gave the guy landing a warning.what kind of game play is that?does anyone know?
its just strange to me that someone would play that way,and its not just one country i saw that on all three countries.alot of players fly the same aircraft and always attemp headon shots all day long.other than that the basic premise of it all was very fun.

You have some good and bad days sweet.
If you did decide to play for longer than 2 weeks every now and again (maybe once a month) you will have an awesome fight with someone and come out on top those moments for me are worth the months sub alone.
I've had 3 vs 1's before and killed every last one of them and thats what keeps me addicted is the fact that you don't know what is going to happen from one day to the next.....
Try and stay out of the big furballs because that is what people will do HO or gangbang pick your own fights for awhile and don't up capped bases!

thanks for the words bruv but it still doesnt explain why people treat each other that way in a video game.
-
INdeed players treat eachother that way. Because its just that. A video game.
-

Im afraid people lost their respect for another human being and even more so on the internet.
Dont let thatz discourage you Sweet. From what ive seen (and ive been here for almost 2 years now) this is a fairly good commuinity. Youll see whining and flames and swearing and bad apples. But if ship comes to shore, things add up. People here are (mostly) good - and so are the fights.
Just dont ever EXPECT the MA to be a "fair fight" place. It isnt. And it never will be. But that doesnt mean you can happen across class acts and respectful behaviour in the Main. And this is even more true for the rest of the online arenas.
ONly advice i can give you: Stay true to yourself adn your own "rules of conduct". Dont expect others to follow those though (avoids dissapointment). Youll find out your "common souls" soon enough.
If you ever catch me online, dont hesitate to PM me. Ill be glad to go a few 1 vs 1 fair fights with you, be it in Main or Duelling Arena.

I know exactly what you mean, Sweet2th. The other day, as a distraction, I played some UT. I was apalled to see that a few members of one team had one guy from another team pretty well trapped. When they didn't immediately kill him, I felt a warm tingle that I think was hope, and love for mankind. Obviously, they all knew that they had him, and the jig was up. I figured they'd chat, have a cup of tea, and let the poor guy go.
Imagine my surprise when didn't let him go, but instead, shot his head off. SHOT IT CLEAN OFF ZOMG WFT ??!1!?! I was sick to my stomach, and cried for hours afterwards. It is apalling to see how far we've regressed when it comes to violent games.

Its either a kid trying to be a tough guy, or an angry old man trying to make up for something. Its everywhere. Ignore it and have fun.
-
the MA has a personality all its own ... It varies thru-out a 24 hr period and changes during time of the month . Two weeks isnt really enough time to get to know it and find your fav time nitch.
I myself like the just after Primetime US hours (300 or less players) you can ussually find alittle of everything going on wether it be gv battles to base captures to furballs to 1 vs 1's with some1 you know . :D

Ok what you need to do is take advantage of the situation.
First. When you see that. Never follow the pack or.."school of fish" as I like to call them.
Grab a little alt and you will see why I call them that. Because thats exacty what they look like.
In any event. dont follow. If they were going to have any success chasing this guy, they would have killed him already
Now what you do is position yourself taking the terrain into account to the most likely place that they will be headed to and fly there instead.
Pretty soon they will chase that guy your way so all you have to do is swoop down and snatch up the kill for yourself :D
Also. If there is a large darbar in your sector and you see that school of fish chasing that one lone plane round on the deck. Again. dont follow.
Head away from the feild and Grab Alt instead.
this will put you in place to better be able to fight as you wont be caught low with the school of fish when the incomming hoard arrives
Oh and dont forget to give a warning to whoever may be upping

is getting a kill that important?
theres that skyrock fellow i saw on that channel 200,he has some issues i think but was entertaining none the less.

Did you give him a six call? If not why? How did that make you feel?

If you're situated anywhere else besides the tower, you're fair game. It sounds like the deceased upped at a capped base - not a smart move.
-
Sweet2th-Sorry to say this, but that's just the tip of the iceberg in here. Give it a year, and you will see many, many more depravities than that. I've played since AH1, and I will say that it seems to have gotten a little worse as time has went on. As have been stated in other posts, though, You just have to hang on, and take the good with the bad. You'll learn to have fun in the game, and brush everything else aside. It also will help to get in a good squad, when you can, It helps to have some friends to fly with.

It obviously is to the school of fish.
all the more reason to swwop donw and snatch it up for yourself.
they do all the work, you get all the pleasure :D
Plus by doing that. you now freed up 10 people to defend against the incomming mob that would otherwise STILL be chasing that oen lone con around;)

i'm just guessing here but i think the 10 players were trying to shoot down the one enemy. but yes, 10 is a lot to chase one plane, if i find myself in that pack i break off and grab alt. Always try to attack the enemy with the highest alt, they are the most dangerous.
sometimes i will follow a friendly who is on the 6 of a enemy, i don't close or shoot, i just cover his 6 and let him take the kill but if the enemy does some ACM and breaks the contact i am there to pick up the pursuit.
and sweet, we are not all like the one you described.

Are you sure it's "sweet2th"? I can't find even a single sortie scored since January.
I would think it's kind of hard to formulate an opinion on the gameplay of a game I haven't played. Just saying.

Not legitimate new players.
We have had several "shades" posters here of late that I must admit, ( at least in my opinion), have a very similar style as yours.
I don't know if you are a shades poster or not and do not care...just trying to help clarify.

Yet another reason for Skuzzy to link Ma tag to the BBS.
Skuzzy why oh why you don't is beyond me.

Edit: Just give non-subbed access to help and support , H2H , and terrain edit forums.
That's it No O'club this would get rid of the trolling tards. Because then you'd only have to really monitor those 5 forums for OT Trolling tards.

i did say i was playing in head to head only.after the 2 weeks i spent in the main arena watching others act like blood thirsty fools i don not even have the time for that and i prefer the eight player rooms more.
Sweet2th has not flown a single sortie in the Main Arena, yet he claims to have.
H2H is an 8 player arena, so he couldn't have witnessed 10 players attack a single (10 + 1 + 1=12)
Nice troll.
In the future, please try to be somewhat consistent when trolling the BBS. Hard to hook 'em if you can not keep your story straight on the same page.

I totally agree. This pretending to be a new person in the game getting really old.

Not sure why you want to pretend to be new AutoPilot. Not really a fan of trolls.
As to linking a player ID to the bulletin board, it will not work. Too many squads require a player to change game ID. Also note, there are many people who are not subscribed, but have a legitimate need to access the forums.
