Sorry to put this in here, but I think it is a good spot.
I'm not sure if anybody checks these forums anymore. I stopped some time back. However, on the off chance I've just been unobservant:
BOB 06 is starting up!
LW is looking for some good bomber pilots. Brooke has gone allied, or I'd as his group of crack bomber pilots to join as well.
We've got the basic setup, 109Es, Ju88s, 110C4s, and Ju87s.
We need plenty of pilots in all areas!
If you know of a group of bomber pilots (a squad or individuals) see if they're interested in joining! We need to make every bomb count.
If you know of some LW pilot (I know there's a few of you out there!) I encourage you to let them know about BOB 2006!

Yes Storch this is a full-on scenario.
-
krusty, when does it begin?
-
This scenario is scheduled for Saturdays, September 23, September 30, October 7, and October 14 at 3 pm Eastern US, 12 noon Pacific US, 8 pm UK, 9 pm Germany, 5 am next day (Sunday) Eastern Australia, 4 am next day (Sunday) Japan.
*sheepish grin* Guess I shoulda included that important info in the first post, no?
-
I was just eading it in the general forum, but not a bad idea to post it here as well. is this one of those 1 life no dar things?
-
You have one life, unless you're a bomber, and you might get a second life in a Ju87 or something (I need to re-read the rules on lives). I know that downed pilots that are rescued can reup at the 60 minute mark, so I'd assume there some chance of doing more than one sortie.
Radar operators are in a third country, they have dar limited to 50 miles from shore, and have an update time of 5 minutes or something very high.
The radar operators communicate with the RAF and let them know what they see. The RAF then reacts.

Storch.
There will be limited dar. You do have one life per each Saturday. However unless you are killed outright there is a chance to be rescued and re-up. The rules can be found here. (http://ahevents.org/site/images/stories/scenarios_images/200609_battleOfBritain/rules.htm)
I"ve noticed Kong1 has been flying in some the Special Events, you might get his take on them. You JG54/ZG1 guys would be a good addition to these events if it's something you'd enjoy.

Also those that die get a second life in a Ju87, which WILL be useful. That is, if they get to the target unmolested. :)

do you guys allow walk-ons or do we need pre-registration and firm commitment to attend?
-
Pre-registration and firm commitment would be nice. My battle plans are going to require.... a certain discipline from the troops.
However walkons are allowed! No guarantee where you'll be placed (what team, what unit, what plane) but show up early and chances are better of getting what you want.

Hello,
Krusty, could 249RAF participate? Where do we sign in? What is registration deadline, please?
Thank you,
Sparrow
