couple of guys get together on vox channel (say 178)
everything fine till they reup......
somehow 1 member on this radio frequency shows up at a place he is NOT
and his icon (on clipbord map) does not move at all
ie;
178#1: where are u #2.
178#2: by 68.
178#1: thats funny i show u over 69... u sure?
178#2: ahh. i am over 68 grid 17 5 5.
178#1: thats wierd i show u over 16 4 3 can anyone confirm?
178#3:key up #2.
178#2: keyying up.
178#3:i show u same as #1 sees....16 4 3 and your icon is not
moving.... u still over field 69.
178#2:i'm no where near 69...(16 4 3)... i tell u i'm entering 17 5 1 now.
178#3:thats not what my map shows.
178#1:mine niether.
178#1: thats not helpful to a mission ... ok guys i'm logging to post this

that was happening tonight with my squadmates Icons too, difficult to find them. Like its not updating, had a squaddy showin 2 sectors from actuall locale at one point.

exactly what was happening with us....
in fact 1 member even relogged to see if that would help..
nope guy in question was stilll in same spot and not moving.

I used to see that all of the time when I was on dial-up. I've never seen it on DSL.
What I do still see is the map isn't updating all of the time, ie: bases under attack don't flash, even after 30 minutes at a base that is being pounded. That could be related to your problem.
I have noticed that it happens most often when there are 300 or more people in the arena.

in my case i've got a high speed DSL connection.
not sure what connection the gent in the mission (the one whos icon was stationary) had. i'll ask him next time i see him online.

Happens to me(dial-up) often on bigger maps and when there's more than 500 in the MA. Sometimes its a dial-up user that appears stationary and sometimes it's not.
But if visual contact is made it goes away.
