Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness.
O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.
Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again.
Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

Keep us advised as to how he's doing. I'm sorry to hear you are going through this kind of situation.
Thoughts and prayers OTW.

Dear Latrobe,
Just read this, I'm glad your brother is doing better, I'll keep him in prayer. Is there any chance we can get his first name? I know the Lord knows very well who "Latrobe's brother" is, but having a name helps me to remember to pray.
Well prayed, Shaky, I was reminded of what Joseph Hall said of good prayers, that they "never come weeping home. I am sure I shall receive, either what I ask or what I should ask"
May the Lord make his face shine upon you, Latrobe, and be gracious to you and your family.

I'll not take credit for the verse...it was found on a Catholic prayer site, offered, then pasted here.

Ah well, still infinitely more edifying than the vast majority of cut and pastes we see in these parts.
