Title: T.O. making friends with his new team again
Post by: Ripsnort on August 30, 2006, 06:14:48 PM
:rofl
Is this guy the biggest joke in the NFL or what?  He's so full of himself that I bet he doesn't believe his poop stinks.

Quote
His high-profile beginning with the Cowboys was off to a smooth start until he hurt his left hamstring the first week of training camp. He missed 14 straight workouts, then practiced five times until aggravating the injury the morning of Aug. 19.

Owens later blamed the team for using him too much after he returned. Team owner Jerry Jones said Monday that mistake wouldn't be made again.

We ALL know he's using a "sore hamstring" excuse to hold out because pre-season doesn't count....who does he think he's fooling?

Have I told you how  much I miss NFL class acts like Barry Sanders and "Sweetness"? :(

Around here he's refered to as "The reciever who's name we shal not speak".

Ya know, just about the time you think Jerry Jones has stopped being a fool, he goes and renews your faith in him.

I gotta admit, if it's a legit hammy pull, it could take a while to heal. I pulled one real bad way back in '93 and it still bugs me from time to time. But then again, I'm not getting paid what "The reciever who's name we shal not speak" is paid.

I applaude Andy Reed and Bill Parcells...When Andy Reed kicked T O off the Eagles last season for his shananigans, it really gave us a hope that some in the NFL still put the team before a win...It reminded me of high school football, and im happy to see that to some the team spirit and the passion of the game is still there...

I dont think it was any question that Parcells wouldnt take T O's crap...I love his comment about playing T O.  "This guys missed x amount of practices...I've never seen him play a live game...Why would I start him"?

:aok (insert smiley that is clapping hands)

My understanding is that he gets $5M guaranteed if he isn't cut before week 1.  And you can't cut a guy who's injured.  So he's faking the injury to collect the $5M.

Personally I think the team should get together and beat the crap outa him like Pyle in Full Metal Jacket

Maybe in the end he will suffer the same breakdown and blow his brains out

If Dallas starts the season strong without him I'm betting he's shown the door without playing a game.

Being from Philadelphia, I paid close attention to what happened with T.O.

I'd be willing to offer on behalf of all of Philly the following people in trade for Terrel Owens back:  Donovan McNabb, Andy Reid.

No team could possibly pass up those two dumb fu... I mean awesome footballers.

I wouldnt trade a retarded deaf mute and crippled water boy for TO on my team.

Aint no "I" in team and TO is all about the "I"

Being in a part of Jersey where there are as many Eagles fans as Giants and Jet fans.
and inasmuch as I can get the on TV as well as Giants and Jets. and inasmuch as I'd rather watch a philly game thein a Gi Aints ( a pox on the stadium fans)
or Jets game
I followed TO closely too

Wow,
no complaints here about Ladamien Tomlinson, hasnt played a pre season rep in 5 years. Ripsnort must hate him.
But hey the press doesnt mention that or insinuate that the chargers couch isnt a man if Tomlinons dousnt play in the pre season.

Or all the other players in the leage who are excused practice right now.

If Dallas comes out strong they will fire him? Are you kidding?
Ya winning 2 games makes you not want to win the super bowl.

I seem to always be on the other side of this issue.

GO T.O.!

go to MSBN nfl page.
There are 5 pictures of football players on the front page. 4 of TO and one of Brady.  Really bad of TO to do that. Really bad of him to constantly make a fuss talking to the press. Oh ya, thats what the press wants.

Yea TO is an idiot, but man the amount of hate going his way is amazing.  Like people have nothing better to do than stare at him just so they can be the first to bag on him whenever he does something dumb.  Buncha haters.

Why should it suprise anyone when a guy everyone loves to hate snaps under the pressure and tries to kill himself?  It's freaking sad all around...  Sad that he either has serious personal problems that result in him acting out or nobody ever taught him how to behave, sad that people go out of their way to give him grief, sad that his talent is going to waste, and sad that for even a moment he thought suicide was the solution.

At what point do you give a guy a break?  Yea he needs to behave but it seems like the guy needs help rather than more haters giving him grief.  At least he has the bucks to hire a good shrink and pay for his meds...

I don't hate him or any other athlete but I also don't feel sorry for a man who makes millions of dollars playing a game who throws tantrums like a spoiled child.

He acts like a child and then gets upset when he is treated like one.

This attempt on his life is nothing more than a spoiled child holding his breath till he gets his way.

You ask when do you give a guy a break? Simple!

When he grows up and shows he earns it.

Bingo, Mightyboy.  He's been a good learning tool for my little football player.  Think of it as "don't be like TO" (I've heard my son say that to a team mate who was complaining about not getting enough carries in a game!)
