Title: IRTRacker cockpit views
Post by: meddog on September 01, 2006, 12:23:38 PM
I was wondering what type of cockpit views you guys get when your using IR? Im having some issues were my views jump from default/standard views to my customized views.  When your units are tuned on, are you still using your your custom views or does it resort back to the old default views?  Natural Point says it should be operating off your custom views.

Track IR with vector should be completely oblivious to your customized views.

Customized views are ignored because they are not needed.

I concur with Kermit and Balsy as long as you're using Vector expansion.  Your saved head positions are ignored if you have TrackIR 3/4 with Vector expansion but if you use TrackIR 3 without vector, I understand the views are based on the saved head positions.

Also, I'm not really following you when you say your views change from standard to customized.  What are you doing when that happens?  If all you're doing is looking around with TIR I can't see how/why the view mode would change unless, if you hit your POV switch your view will go to that position regardless of the direction TIR is "looking".

I also am not sure what you mean.

Do you mean a customized Track IR profile view?

I customized a "default" Track IR view and saved it as AH_Agressive and use it for AH II. I've got this customized Track IR profile set to where it is always loaded when I fly AH. Default is never loaded in AH II.

But if you mean the customized views via manual hat settings (or keypad) and F10 for better manual views, then I concur with the folks above, that Track IR does not use them, nor need them.

Best Regards,
