your bait needs to be hidden better...

"in my experience flying the Hawker Typhoon in the MA, it is a far superior aircraft in AH, and from what i have read in books it was far superior in real life too.  why is that?"

that would have been bound to get all the luftweenies frothing at the mouth.

Well, there is no need for a trademark bait.

The wing loadings are roughly the same the Typhoon having a slight edge.
You could dig the polars and see what kind of AoA the wings need to produce lift. NACA 2219/2213 for Tiffie and 23015/23009 for 190.

Tiffie has a slightly better climb rate and lower critical altitude.

190 is superior in rolling performance and in dives the 190 does not compress at speeds the Tiffie does due to thinner wings.

Both have incredible guns packages.

Due to use in ground support role the Tiffie does not have a convincing victory tally, whereas the 190 was used mainly as a fighter and many German aces flew it.

Their relative performance in AH is such that Tiffie is dangerous and 190A8 is dogfood. Compare the figures and make your own conclusions how accurate that is.

Title: Just wanted to hear

what folks think about the tiff. I dont see many flying it and if I do see one its mostly likely someone on an attack run and trying to avoid any fites. While I fly it for a2a and rarely do attack in it (ack LOVES my radiator big time.)
I dont remember why I chose to fly the tiff and it took a good while before I learned how to fly the thing with anything you might call skill. And it is still a tough plane for me to handle becasue I instinctivly want to tnb and I have to try to refrain from that but I will still jump in a turn fite with anything for a few turns anyway just to see what I can make it do.
