Howdy all!…
I just got back from what can only be described as a weekend in “Hillbilly Heaven”.
It’s the National coon-dog trials near Kenton, Ohio.
Is a long weekend of Coon-dogs & gun trades. The official webpage stated, “While adult beverages are no longer served on the grounds, you are free to bring your own with you.”… and believe me, nearly everyone did.
People were camped, & selling in the woods… The camp-fire cooking smelled great!

And there was an open field with venders packed in… I think there were 28 rows each about a half-mile long!

It was a HOOT-of-a-time! I managed to find a Connecticut Valley Arms .32 cal black powder squirrel rifle… New in the box for $125.00! I’ve wanted one of these for quite a while, but they stopped making them some time ago. I actually plan to hunt them bushy-tailed tree-rats with it!
