I got a new racing-sim today; Mercedes-Benz Truck Race (http://www.mbtr.de/eng). If you like driving games too this one is really worth of money  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Graphics are great and the whistling of turbo-charger is great  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
And at least now I can say the "Driving-Model" is correct; Thought the one I tested some year ago got only 450hp and its weight was about 40000kg  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Truck racing... hmmm... only slightly better than 'tractor pulling'.

I heard those idiot Yanks got somekind DragRace.
They stop their cars in lights and when lights turn to green they just put the pedal to the medal and after 402meter they jump on the brake-pedal. Weird ppl.

Which 'live' event are you talkin about? Truck racing or tractor pulling?

To be honest, truck racing isn't that bad. But tractor pulling?

<shudder>

I just don't get it. I understand the rules, but I can't see where the entertainment angle comes from.

Tractor pulling is a big event in some parts of the US too. Guys put thousands of dollars into building custom tractors with 2 big block blown engines just to see how far they can pull a sled. Not a big fan, always wondered where it originated from.

how about american motercycle raceing? or lawnmower racing? i swear i have seen both on tv. the motercycle one was a harlys limited to the 883. was like a oldies film. they lawnmower race was a hoot they were geared up and looked like they were doin 50 or so . talk about driving skill take a corner in a riding mower at 50 .

Towd we have too a "HD-Cup" for 883cid "Stock-Harleys".
If remember correct all you can modify is suspension and maybe carburator.

One race-type which were popular here in -70's and early 80's was different kind of ice-tracks.
