Since picking the leader of the free world is such an important task and due to the obvious inadequacy of an electoral system some 200+ years old, I hereby submit that we have the UN control our next presidential elections. All US citizens qualified to vote are to register with the UN for a special UN voters card. This card will have a picture id and a special # assigned to it to identify the vote as yours. The voting ballots will be designed by the UN, the voting areas will be designated by the UN, and the UN will have troops stationed at key voting areas and special envoys at each voting location to ensure that there will be a smooth voting process and that certain of our citizenry (ie minorities) will not be denied their rights to vote. The UN will tally all the votes and advise the US on who wins the election.
If the UN is good enough to control the voting processes in other countries, it should do a good job in ours.

Oh My God, it's happening..........
We do not want the UN involved in our political process. I'll take gore and his gorons with the Senate and House under Rep control over a UN controlled election any day.
Please revisit the implications of your above suggestions. It would lead to corruption on the GLOBAL level instead of national as it is today.
KEEP the UN OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Heheee I think Castro has offered to send his people to the US to help with the election. He says he has never had a problem in Cuba with elections (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Just threw that out there as a wake-up, a possible "worst case" scenario. I would imagine if the UN took control our voter id #s would all begine with the prefix 666-
