Remeber, a P-40E is nothing but a P-40 with an Emil on it's tail.

Not a clue.

On a side note, when I was an active pilot on AH with the 325th, the P-40E was the only Allied plane that seemed uber in my hands.  I don't know why but it seemed I could really fling that thing around the sky pretty damn good in the N. Africa setting in the ole CT .

Well, any way you can teach me a thing or two?

Energy is everything and make those .50's count.  It's not an ACM as much as it is a SA plane.  Also, back then I flew with a squad and teamwork went along way.  That's why I almost never flew in the MA.  The whor(d)e mentallity is something that I just didn't get into.

No matter what happens remember this: you will always look better in the 40E than any other fighter.  It's that cool.

I usually go to IHOP. they have good pancakes there, too.

That's also a common mistake.  If you want waffles, go to Waffle House.

AFAIK, just use the simple circle-and-pipper sight for any of the early-war US planes, they didnt get too fancy until later on. I don't know how accurately restored it is, but in the Roaring Glory video Jeff Ethell did with Bill Anderson's P-40 at Geneseo years ago, the gunsight is just a simple one.

PM me your e-mail and I'll send you my P-40 sounds, I've mixed and matched and compared with the sounds from that video (I'd record directly from it if I knew how to take audio out) and they match up pretty good.

I use waffles sights (which I found) and that has a P-40. My e-mail is Echo5dash7@hotmail.com

Go ahead and spam me, I have nothing better to do.

Sounds sent Reynolds, sent you all 3 of the engine sounds I use for ther P-40E, plus the gear and flaps I use for most everything.

You want the P-40B too?

If you use Waffles gunsights, I use the "US N6Small" one, as most of the others seem too big, even as close as I usually get before firing.

Well, it still says your mailbox if full so here's your answer:

Movie: Dazed And Confused.  Rent it sometime and you'll get an idea of what my childhood was like in Texas.

Thanks for the kind words about my car.

NP Diablo. I have always admired your knowledge, and blend of stupid-humor and seriousness. Any loss of yours is truely sad... and as to my childhood... (No OFFENSE HERE!!!) Rent some movie about the KKK, and imagine me as the black guys. (I am caucasian, but in hawaii, the roles reversed)
