Thought I might start a thread dedicated to the men and women who gave their lives on that day. Post a picture or a verbal tribute to those individuals who most captured your hearts and whose memory is most indelibly etched in your memory.

Thomas Burnett. One of the heroes of Flight 93 who stormed the cockpit and struck the first blows in our war against terrorism. I have a personal connection to him. His wife Deena Burchfield of Halley, Arkansas was in the first junior high social studies class I ever taught. It had been more twenty years since I had seen her when this tragedy occurred.
Salute Thomas. RIP.
