Couple of questions:
1.) What are some good free programs to edit films with?
2.) Is there a way to have text from AH not appear in film?
3.) Say I own a DVD and want to use a clip from that DVD. How would I go about getting the information from the DVD to my computer? I have a CD Burner and use Nero which can transfer CD tracks to audio mp3 files.
4.) What is the best approach to getting music from a tape cassette to an audio file on my computer?

ok first thing is most people use fraps,u can get it free and it films 30 second clips at a time.if you play the film in ah viewer you can use fraps and u dont get the text.
ok if u want to have film off the dvd u can use fraps or that to and then put them togeather in windows movie maker which u should already have.

If you get the registered version of FRAPS you can record long clips (Ive done 5-6 minute clips, look great). I use midows Movie Maker to make my movie files.
Movie Maker also lets you edit and clip video files in other formats, like downloaded video and recorded shows.
Between the 2, you come up with this sort of thing (http://media.putfile.com/Ride-the-Lightning-17) ... :)

I downloaded fraps, gonna hafta learn how to use it. Apparently my computer does not have a DVD Decoder installed, gonna do a google search for one.

If you have XP, it should have Windows Movie Maker as a standard program, my comp cae with that and with Muvee Auto Producer- which I haven't been able to figure out yet.

I use Pinnacle Studio and Hollywood F/X for my videos. Will have to put together a AH2 video sometime.

I've got Fraps, did some messing around with it and am fairly confident I can use it for what I need. 30fps comes out kind of sluggish so I bumped it up to 50fps.
Pretty sure I can get it how I want from here on out, will see if a friend has a way to get ther music I want onto it.

4) Run a 3.5 jack from the headphone socket of your tape deck to your mic socket and record with Windows Wav recorder.
