Title: Cable connection setup in Windows
Post by: Elfie on September 14, 2006, 07:53:55 PM
Just reformatted one of our comps and reinstalled Windows. Now I cant access the internet with that comp. Internet access still works, I know this because I am using the same modem/router combo to make this post with a different comp.

How do I fix this?

*edit* whoops......

Am using Win XP Pro on the other comp, Comcast is the provider. I dont have any software to install for Comcast because it's one of those *always on* connections.

I tryed the internet connection wizard, but no dice. It keeps wanting me to input dialup modem information.

*edit again*

Nevermind, I figured it out. I hadn't installed my motherboard drivers yet, including the drivers for the onboard LAN device. :lol

I'm such a maroon sometimes. :D
